WWE News: WWE stops Independent Wrestler from using Trademark 

What's the story?

WWE has stopped independent wrestler Tatevik Hunanyan from using the trademark 'Sister Abigal.' WWE had earlier abadonded use of the name while led Hunanyan to apply for it. Thanks to Fightful for the report

This leads to other interesting developments for a possible return for The Eater of Worlds.

In case you didn't know

Bray Wyatt has not been seen for months now on WWE TV. The last time the WWE Universe saw the WWE Superstar was at Starrcade back in November on the WWE Network. Before that, he was teaming with Woken Matt Hardy back in July.

The heart of the matter

WWE essentially put a cease and desist on Hunanyan of trying to use the character. As per an official statement by WWE,

"Hunanyan was an extra for WWE in 2016 and 2017 and expressed a desire to portray the WWE SISTER ABIGAIL character in WWE programming. She never portrayed the WWE SISTER ABIGAIL character and is now attempting to usurp WWE's intellectual property by filing the Sister Abigail Application.By applying for a mark that is identical in sight, sound and commercial meaning to Opposer's SISTER ABIGAIL Mark in connection with identical services as those provided by Opposer. Applicant's applied-for mark in the Sister Abigail Application is likely to cause confusion among consumers as to Opposer's affiliation and/or sponsorship of Applicant's services."

To sumarize this, WWE is insisting that Hunanyan is infringing on their intellectual property. While this is the case, WWE fans can fairly speculate that WWE still has plans for the character. This could also mean an eventuall return for Bray Wyatt.

What's next?

The entire WWE Universe is speculating when they will see the return of Bray Wyatt. It's been rumored that WWE creative has him waiting on the sidelines for something very special down the line. It's unknown at this time whether he will return on WWE RAW or WWE SmackDown.

Could it be that he was suposed to feud with Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship? Could he be returning as Sister Abigail? The clock's ticking.
