WWE News: WWE Superstar shockingly turns face at recent live event
What's the story?
Elias only turned heel back at The Royal Rumble, but now the former NXT star has had a change of character once again.
In case you didn't know...
Elias turned heel as part of The Royal Rumble match, where he insulted the crowd before he cemented the turn the following night when he attacked Jeff Jarrett. Interestingly, it appears that this feud could now be over, so the company may have only wanted Elias to work as a heel whilst he was against the WWE Hall of Famer.
It was a shock when Elias turned face back in October since he had been working as a heel for a while, but after Roman Reigns was forced to depart, WWE had a lack of faces and The Drifter was forced to step up.
The heart of the matter
Elias recently turned face once again at a WWE Live Event over the weekend, when he took on Drew McIntyre. It appears that the company could have needed an opponent for the Scottish star for one night, but this could also be a signal that Elias is going back to his old character.
Despite his obvious insults, it's clear that the WWE Universe likes Elias and he works much better as a face than a heel and his character suits the role of a face.
WWE Live Events don't always signal change on WWE TV, so it will be interesting to see if Elias is back to being a face on Monday Night Raw, or if The Drifter resumes his role as a heel heading into Elimination Chamber.
