With a critically-acclaimed WWE Backlash in the history sheets, WWE's caravan now moves towards its next landmark, WWE Night of Champions. The premium live event will air live from the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 27, 2023.

The Saudi spectacle will witness WWE crown its new Heavyweight Champion. However, this could turn into something bigger by the end of the night.

For those unaware, Seth Rollins is currently the hot favorite to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. The Visionary qualified for the tournament finals on RAW after Backlash and is running high on momentum. However, things may not end too well for Rollins at the event as he could be confronted by Drew McIntyre following his win.

While The Scottish Warrior's WWE future is currently hanging in the balance, a recent report has revealed that the company is planning a high-profile feud between The Architect and heel McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Title. Hence, the 37-year-old could return at WWE Night of Champions and turn on the newly crowned Heavyweight Champion.

The Scottish Warrior could lay waste to Rollins, much to the shock of the WWE Universe. This would then set up their rumored feud beautifully.

What else could be in store at WWE Night of Champions?

WWE Night of Champions 2023 could be a blockbuster event. The company has already announced that Brock Lesnar will lock horns with Cody Rhodes in a rematch at the event. Furthermore, Roman Reigns will also return to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the premium live event.

The Head of the Table will complete 1,000 days as the WWE Champion at WWE Night of Champions. Wrestling veteran Kevin Nash recently shared his thoughts on Reigns nearing the huge milestone:

"That close to 1,000 [days], you have to do it. It’d be I’d like [Cal] Ripken had turf toe and would have f***ing just taken a day off. There’s certain milestones, and right now, he’s too close to 1,000. You’re only gonna be as successful as your f***ing top guy, and Roman’s the top guy right now. Roman has the cool factor, Roman’s your money guy," said Nash.

In addition, fans can expect some other high-profile names, such as Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Gunther, and Austin Theory, to defend their respective titles at the event.
