WWE No Mercy 2017: 5 Surprises that could happen at the PPV

Live and Exclusive only on WWE Network

WWE is all set to present No Mercy, a RAW exclusive PPV on 24th September 2017. The PPV returns to the red brand after being a Smackdown PPV last year. Originally perceived as a B-show similar to other PPVs such as Roadblock and Fastlane, WWE has done a good job of bringing out a stacked card which includes one of the biggest matches of this era, Roman Reigns vs. John Cena.

Other featured matches include Brock Lesnar defending his championship against Braun Strowman, Miz facing off against the 'Next Generation of Great' Jason Jordan, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose facing the Bar, an explosive Fatal 5-Way for the Women's Championship and the self-proclaimed God, Bray Wyatt facing off against the Demon, Finn Balor.

Ahead of the promising show, we look at some surprises that could happen at Staples Center in a few hours:

#5: Emma wins the Women's Championship

The Real BOSS
The Real BO$$

Emma has been one of the most underutilized superstars in the Women's division for many years now. After debuting with a gimmick that was universally bashed, Emma transitioned into the role of being the rejected one in the WWE.

Many predicted her to become a top heel of the division as she had the charisma and personality to be a future champion. However, she was sent down to NXT to rejuvenate herself and re-debuted on the main roster as a menacing heel.

Her Emmalina gimmick was widely criticized and was subsequently dropped and she returned in her former persona. She still has time on her side and the support of the WWE Universe, thus justifying putting the strap on the Australian.

It will be a major swerve and will definitely get the people talking.

#4: Jason Jordan defeats the Miz

Next Generation of Great?
Next Generation of Great?

Jason Jordan has been heavily pushed since he was revealed as Kurt Angle's son. Thankfully, he hasn't disappointed with his in-ring performances.

He had two brilliant matches with John Cena and Roman Reigns, showing off his amateur wrestling prowess and sheer strength. Despite the lack of charisma and personality hindering his connect with the fans, the potential is immense.

His stint with Chad Gable did not exactly set the world on fire on the main roster but as a team, the duo had some great matches back in NXT.

He is still struggling to find his feet on his own and the question remains whether he should be the one to dethrone the Miz, who has made the Intercontinental Championship a top title in the last few years.

A win for Jordan would be a major turning point in his career. He is still young and has got a lot of years left in him. So giving the title to him so early in his singles career could be a double-edged sword.

#3: Dean Ambrose to turn on Seth Rollins

Brothers in Arms
Brothers in Arms

Dean Ambrose has been a strong babyface for quite some time now. He was the top face of Smackdown in the latter half of 2016 and has been garnering a positive reaction from the audience week in week out.

His story arc with Seth Rollins leading to their reunion was one of the finest and perfectly executed angles in recent memory. The reaction underlined that very fact.

Most fans are expecting one of them to turn on the other soon, and Dean Ambrose could still be looking to revenge what Seth did to him and Roman back in 2014.

WWE have teased this before, will they do it?

A loss leading to Dean losing his mind and destroying Seth Rollins would be unexpected and could result in a full-fledged feud between Seth and Dean.

It may be too soon but is still a possibility.

#2: Balor Club is formed

A reunion which would be Too Sweet!
A Too Sweet Reunion?

Finn Balor has been struggling to find his feet again after returning from injury back in April. and has been involved in a feud with Wyatt.

A victim of a 50-50 booking, Balor has suffered the same fate as other superstars who suffer because of WWE's creative bust. Balor has struggled to take down Wyatt alone and could bring out a certain pair of Good Brothers.

WWE has teased the potential reunion of Balor Club, which was a huge success back in Japan. Gallows and Anderson haven't been doing anything of note since a long time and aligning themselves with Finn Balor will bring something fresh to the table and give all the superstars the much needed momentum.

#1: The Deadman rises

Could the Ministry of Darkness be reinstated ?
Could The Ministry of Darkness be reinstated?

Undertaker lost at Wrestlemania back in April in what was widely speculated to be his last hurrah. Although no official statement has been released by the veteran superstar or the company, few expect him to turn up again at the ripe old age of 52.

However, Undertaker still has some unfinished business with John Cena and there have been rumours of him returning to interfere in Cena vs. Roman to have one final feud with John Cena.

When that gong goes off again, expect the whole arena to erupt and the whole internet to break down. Undertaker returning could be a huge swerve and a Cena vs. Undertaker dream match could finally see the light of the day.
