Recently, a lot of WWE Superstar have been making returns after long layoffs from injuries. Unfortunately, there may be another addition to the list of injured wrestlers. According to reports from those who were in attendance at an NXT event in Nashville Tennessee, "The Drifter" Elias Samson may have suffered an injury.
Wrestlinginc.com reports that Elias Samson faced against Andrade "Cien" Almas in the event. The alleged injury occurred when he went to perform a flapjack or a stun gun on Almas. The audience noted that Samson was unable to put weight on his left leg. The match ended in no-contest as the referee threw up the "X" sign. Samson was helped to the back.
Samson was signed by the WWE to a developmental contract in early 2014. He made his debut in April that year as an enhancement talent. In his first stint he was basically used to put over the bigger names of NXT.
In mid 2015, he adapted the ‘Drifter’ gimmick and started to use a guitar during his entrance. Samson re-debuted in the NXT in December last year. He recently faced former NXT Champion Finn Balor in a losing effort.
