Sam Gradwell vs Tyler Bate on NXT UK
The second match of the night saw NXT UK stalwart Tyler Bate face the Mohican sporting bad boy, Sam Gradwell.
Gradwell controlled the match early with a wristlock, but Bate wriggled out of it beautifully. Bate would evade and counter Gradwell before transitioning a great arm drag into an armlock.
Gradwell powered out and proceeded to take Bate out with an array of strikes, grinding submissions and insulting kicks to the head.
Gradwell countered a clothesline with an STO for a near fall. Bate recovered quickly, and another flurry of offense was finished off with a Tyler Driver as the Big Strong Boy got his first win since returning to NXT UK.
Result: Tyler Bate defeated Sam Gradwell on NXT UK

Ilja Dragunov is spotted at the NXT UK Performance Center talking to Jack Starz and asks him to be his first opponent as he begins his journey back to prominence.
Jinny comes to the ring flanked by Joseph Conners. The Fashionista explains that as a woman of wealth and power, she has connections before stating that she is guaranteeing her title win next week.
Kay Lee Ray entered next, saying that she has beaten everyone, and that is why she is the champ, but Jinny answers back saying that Ray hasn't beaten her.
The "Scary Queen of Scots" says she will beat her so bad that all the money in the world could not fix the damage. She stated that Ray owes Jinny a debt of gratitude as it was her who helped the NXT UK Women's Champion win the brutal Last Woman Standing Match against Piper Niven.
KLR confidently raised the title while Jinny and Conners left the ring. They meet next week for the NXT UK Women's Championship.
