WWE News: WWE ranks their top 10 signings of all time

Ronda
Ronda Rousey may be the most recent, but who tops the list?

What's the story?

So, after Ronda Rousey became one of WWE's biggest signings of all time when she officially became a RAW Superstar last week, there's been a lot of speculation as to whether she's the biggest signing WWE has ever made.

Well, WWE responded with a top ten list, ranking their best signings of all time - and after checking it out, you really wouldn't envy whoever had to rank these ten stars for their task!

In case you didn't know...

Ronda Rousey signed with WWE officially at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, putting Triple H through a table in the process.

Rousey shocked the world at the Royal Rumble when she rocked up in WWE with news following that she was set to make the transition from UFC to WWE - and on a full-time basis too.

The heart of the matter

So, does Rousey top the list? Well, she's up there, but there are a few names who just edge the fortmer UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion out...

10) Finn Balor
9) Big Show
8) Samoa Joe
7) Goldberg
6) Eddie Guerrero
5) Sting
4) Kurt Angle
3) Ronda Rousey
2) Rey Mysterio
1) Chris Jericho

So, Rousey made number three on the list and is notably the only woman to make the top ten, but shockingly, Chris Jericho tops the list with Rey Mysterio in second.

Well, you can relive the moment Jericho debuted in WWE, then known as WWF, below...

What's next?

I guess we'll need to wait and see if WWE ever has to revise this list if an even bigger name ever signs!

Author's take

Well, it's pretty interesting that Rey Mysterio made No.2 on the list ahead of recent speculation about him returning to WWE, and I thought for sure Rousey would be No.1 given all the hype about her recent signing.

But it's awesome to see Jericho up there as his debut still lives on as one of the best of all time 19 years later.

It's cool to see WWE acknowledge Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Eddie Guerrero as monumental signings, too - but there are definitely some surprise names up there that aren't where I'd expect them to be!
