If Sheamus and Drew McIntyre compete for the WWE Championship, there is no doubt at all that Drew McIntyre is going over in the contest.
The company has just put in so much time and effort into making Drew McIntyre the face of the company, it is very unlikely indeed that he will lose to anyone else in the WWE RAW brand at this point in time, except for maybe The Fiend or maybe Brock Lesnar at some point down the line.

Sheamus is a great promo, he is a steady hand in the ring and he has been a great soldier for Vince McMahon over the years. At the same time, one has to believe that the company does not see nearly as much equity in Sheamus as the WWE Champion as they do in Drew McIntyre.
Sheamus shouldn't turn on Drew McIntyre because nobody would buy into him as a potential WWE Champion, following their ensuing feud. Would you read a book to the end, if you know how it concludes?
