WWE's women's tag team division has suffered two huge losses recently. The Golden Role Models broke up on SmackDown, and although it was an effective moment from a storytelling point of view, the same cannot be said for The IIconics on WWE RAW.

It became apparent that breaking up Peyton Royce and Billie Kay may be a decision made to push the former star. But the same push could have been achieved without dissolving the aforementioned tag team.

The current champions, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, may not have a lot of tag teams left to face because of that reason. They are currently embroiled in a feud with The Riott Squad, and The Riott Squad managed to defeat Shayna Baszler in a handicap match, following which Nia Jax stepped up against The Riott Squad right away.

Before a winner could be determined, a RETRIBUTION graphic appeared on the ThunderDome screen. Members of the anti-WWE faction spoke for the very first time since they arrived on WWE TV earlier this year.
