WWE RAW: 5 finishes for Liv Morgan & Rusev vs Lana & Bobby Lashley

It's crazy to think that the Rusev-Bobby Lashley-Lana storyline has been going on since late September. It's gone from controversial to being a part of programming that people have seemingly accepted.

Moreover, the fact that it has driven the level of interest that it has is the reason why WWE has kept it going for so long. Just when you think that they could end the rivalry, they do something to extend it - but we'll get back to that part later.

The viewership on YouTube and the level of engagement on social media speak for itself. These kinds of storylines attract far more interest than many people might realize and the late addition of Liv Morgan at the end of 2019 has only driven the interest up.

On the latest episode of RAW, Lashley defeated Rusev once again thanks to some help from Lana. Liv Morgan interjected as well but Lana threw a cup of Pepsi on her face, causing the distraction and allowing Lashley to win.

Backstage, Lana made an offer for a mixed tag team match next week - with Bobby Lashley furious at her for doing so. The challenge has been accepted and here are five ways it could end.

#5. Yet another dusty finish

It keeps going on

We'll get the most obvious one out of the way first. In all likeliness, the match could have a dusty finish even though it shouldn't. WWE has done a good job of dragging the feud out and it's currently the fourth month of this storyline going on.

They will drag it out as much as they want to and to do that the easy way, a dusty finish would be how it's done. That way, it protects all Superstars and gives them a reason to book it again.

#4. Liv Morgan pins Lana

An intense confrontation

Liv Morgan is making her in-ring return after a long time. She hadn't suffered any major injury per se. She was just kept on the sidelines for a long time after the Riott Squad had disbanded. Morgan had a brief appearance on SmackDown but that was it.

For months, people had been anticipating her return and WWE even aired a vignette advertising her as "new" and "changed". She returned at the wedding and she'll be wrestling for the first time in months on TV next week.

The big selling point is her return and since she's only a recent addition to the story, it would make sense that WWE would want her to have the most impact. Since she can't compete with or pin Bobby Lashley, the logical outcome would be for Morgan to pick up the win via pinning Lana.

It would also add to the story of Bobby Lashley and Lana since the cracks have begun to show and he was furious at her decision to make the match.

#3. Rusev ends up attacking Lana by mistake

This could be a big part of the story. Lana has been instrumental in the downfall of Rusev in these last few months and on both occasions where he faced Bobby Lashley, it was her interjection that helped her new husband pick up the win.

One thing we know for sure is that the Mixed tag team match is going to be chaotic. A dusty finish is possible, but we anticipate that there's going to be a bit of a mix-up. Mixed tag team bouts can certainly be a bit complicated at times and with all the drama in the build-up, it's inevitably leading to a big spot.

This big spot is likely one where Rusev accidentally attacks Lana in a big way. This would, of course, help his team win the match but it would add a new element in the story between the four. The disdain towards the Bulgarian would only grow and his popularity among the WWE Universe will continue to explode.

#2. Rusev pins Bobby Lashley

The focal point of the story is supposed to be Rusev. We've seemingly forgotten that before this story began, Rusev was a heel who allegedly was the father to Maria Kanellis' baby. She later revealed that wasn't the case and soon after, The Bulgarian saw Lana kiss Bobby Lashley - kickstarting a new storyline.

Despite the controversial nature of the storyline, Rusev has surprisingly gotten over well with the crowd. His popularity has only grown and the ultimate objective of this rivalry is for Rusev to be the beneficiary at the end of it.

If he doesn't stand tall in the end, what was the purpose of this storyline? He's been pinned by Bobby Lashley twice now and that's more than what it needs to be. Rusev needs to get a payoff and to do that, he needs to pin Bobby Lashley.

Hopefully, it results in a fun match on RAW that ends positively for the babyfaces. There needs to be a reason to keep tuning in and watching.

#1. A big twist - Lana turns on Lashley

This is a bit out of the box but given the nature of the storyline, it's entirely possible. As we've seen over the past few weeks, there have been some cracks between Bobby Lashley and Lana, proving that their relationship and marriage isn't that perfect.

When Lashley shouted at Lana, it was more than clear that their alliance won't last too long and it could end as soon as next week. How? Not the way you might think. It won't be Rusev that Lana would go running back to - it's Liv Morgan.

While it seems bizarre, the nature of the storyline has seemingly indicated that any twist is possible at any given time. This would instantly set up Morgan and Lana as a heel duo and they could have a romance angle of their own.

It would be a welcome change to the storyline and it would add a whole new element to it - one that was likely never planned when it all began.
