He's really glad that you're his friend and this is a friendship that will never ever end, dear reader. His name is Bray Wyatt but he also goes by 'The Fiend', and as I type this, he's the hottest commodity in the world of sports entertainment.
This week's show ended with him applying a mandible claw to one Braun Strowman and laying him out, a feat that few have accomplished in WWE with such ease. It is very clear that he's being given a monster push and I daresay that he'll be the Universal Champion at Hell in a Cell 2019.
And for WWE to make next week's RAW Season Premiere episode a special one, The Fiend needs to continue his momentum with a brutal attack. Who could his next potential victim be?
In this article, I will list out the 5 likeliest candidates who could be potentially taken out.
#5 Rey Mysterio
If you take a gander at all of the legends that The Fiend has attacked thus far, most of them would not be able to retaliate against his dark, devious ways. Kurt Angle and Jerry Lawler are retired and so is Mick Foley, the man who handed him his finisher. Of course, Kane can still go but he's knee-deep in a political career that seems to be going quite well.
Rey Mysterio is an active legend from the roster who can actually fight back and maybe even wrestle The Fiend in a contest, somewhere down the line someday. He can go just as well as he used to in his prime and I'm almost certain that between him and Wyatt, most people would pick Mysterio as a far better worker.
Will it be Mysterio? Only time will tell for sure.
#4 Dominick Mysterio
So, we've addressed the fact that Rey Mysterio could be The Fiend's victim next week. But what about his son, a man that WWE is keen to get over as Mysterio's successor and book in a very big way in the months and years to follow? He's even bypassing the NXT system, and Tom Colohue from Sportskeeda elaborated as to the reason why, right here.
What is a better way to get a babyface over than to have him act helpless while a demonic presence attacks him and shows him no mercy and no clemency? It will help establish him as a character because anything The Fiend does pretty much goes viral. It'll be the best thing to happen to Dominick's career, right at the start.
He could also challenge The Fiend and suffer a big loss to him. This will essentially help him get a huge head start over the competition, constantly knocking at WWE's doors.
#3 Ric Flair
Ric Flair is someone who would not even mind taking a loss at the height of his career to put someone young over. He did this with Sting and with so many others over the course of his career in WCW, WWE, and TNA, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind eating the mat for Wyatt.
After all, Wyatt is someone who comes from a wrestling family and Flair probably wants to do right by him. Even though Flair may no longer be able to take a bump, the mandible claw is a move that can be taken by anyone at all as Jerry Lawler proved.
Flair would be the biggest star that The Fiend ever attacked by far. With all due respect to Mick Foley and Kurt Angle, they're no Nature Boy.
Ric Flair is a character that transcends wrestling and is a part of pop culture today.
#2 Hulk Hogan
The other special guest who will be making a return on next week's show is one Hulk Hogan. I don't know if you noticed but when his name was announced, the crowd booed it rather loudly. Therefore, if WWE were to telecast a segment where Hogan has to eat a mandible claw, it may go down well with the audience that's in attendance.
Hulk Hogan is someone who's hung up his boots and believe it or not, he's a big advocate for the talent in the ring from today's generation. I'm sure that he will gladly become The Fiend's victim to get the character over and reach the mainstream audience in America. Like it or not, wrestling's never been hotter than when it was red and yellow.
Hulk Hogan will be the biggest star that The Fiend has ever taken down. He may even be bigger than Ric Flair.
#1 Brock Lesnar
Before you think I am crazy, just hear me out for a moment here. The Beast Incarnate has always been portrayed as an unstoppable monster who can even hold his own against the likes of unstoppable beasts like Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe, up until now.
But what if the lights go out during a Paul Heyman promo, and The Fiend attacks Brock Lesnar with a mandible claw? If this were to happen, it would set the stage for a dream match at Survivor Series where the Universal Champion could go up against the WWE Champion in a dream match.
I mean you could always say that Kofi Kingston may beat Brock Lesnar, but deep down even you know that won't happen. The Fiend is certainly going over.
