Next week's RAW could prove to be a phenomenal show

Happy new year to all our beloved readers. I hope that you have a healthy, happy, and sports entertainment-filled 2020, and beyond.

The new year for WWE's flagship brand- RAW, will begin with the arrival of The Beast Incarnate, whose Royal Rumble opponent will likely be determined on next week's explosive episode. What we know for sure is that every time Brock Lesnar appears on our TV screens, something crazy's bound to happen.

So, here are 5 things that could happen when Brock Lesnar shows up next week, ladies and gentlemen. Do chime in with your comments and let me know if you think that I'm off the mark, and instead, let me know what you believe will happen next week.

It's time to begin my first article in the brand new decade.

#5 Aleister Black comes out to face Brock Lesnar

Usually, whenever a Superstar is to ascend a level or two, what WWE does is to have him/her win a whole series of matches. There is no doubt at all that WWE is very high on Aleister Black because he came out on top against Buddy Murphy for the second time in a row on this week's episode of RAW. If you cast your mind back to mid-December, he was also the winner of the huge match at WWE TLC.

Aleister Black is a much smaller opponent as compared to Brock Lesnar, and I have a feeling that the two men could actually have a pretty competitive feud. Black is all about the striking and coming from the MMA world, Lesnar could use this fact and ensure that their match has MMA elements.

Just imagine Paul Heyman cutting a promo on WWE RAW next week, when suddenly the lights go out and Aleister Black's music hits!

#4 Matt Riddle attacks Brock Lesnar from the back

So, here's the scene on RAW next week. Picture Paul Heyman in the sing, delivering a strong promo saying that The Beast Incarnate does not wish to compete at the Royal Rumble with Brock Lesnar bouncing around, with his trademark grin.

And then, out of nowhere, Matt Riddle attacks him from the back. Riddle has been very vocal about possibly facing Brock Lesnar in a match and with NXT coming to the same level as RAW and SmackDown, by first moving to the USA Network and then by beating both brands at Survivor Series, I doubt anyone sees Matt Riddle as developmental talent anymore, honestly.

Matt Riddle also has the UFC stamp on him, meaning that he could certainly prove to be a worthy and believable competitor for the WWE Champion, who seems to be quickly running out of opponents at this particular stage.

#3 Triple threat match with both Lashley and Rusev?

Of course, everything that's happening with Bobby Lashley and Rusev is fantastic from a numbers perspective but how many matches can they have? While their last match was okay, it didn't really set the world on fire.

Sure, you can involve the women and have Mixed Tag Team matches as well, but let's be honest for a minute. When the bell rings, Liv Morgan and Lana aren't exactly Sasha Banks and Bayley.

One of the ways to make this feud really interesting and must-watch would be to interject Brock Lesnar right into the thick of things and have both Rusev and Bobby Lashley, two men who look like they could believably become WWE Champion involved in the mix. It would even bring back the viewers who may be turned off by the Attitude Era crassness.

Maybe next week, Lesnar interrupts a Bobby Lashley and Lana segment on RAW.

#2 Brock Lesnar interrupts an Orton-Styles brawl, triple threat match confirmed

As good as the Randy Orton and AJ Styles feud has been, with trickery and RKOs, it just feels like the two men need a Championship on the line for it to matter. These are two men who've tussled with The Beast in the past and come up short. These are also two men who can believably become WWE Champions.

So let's assume that Orton and Styles are taking each other to the limit when The Beast Incarnate's music hits. He lets the two men know that their blood feud is now for the WWE Championship and the match at the Royal Rumble becomes bigger than ever before.

This makes all the sense in the world because then the WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble becomes a star-studded affair, with two viable contenders challenging the WWE Champion for his crown.

#1 Drew McIntyre gets a shot at The Beast Incarnate

Even though WWE usually shies away from heel vs. heel matches, I have a feeling that, in this case, McIntyre vs. Lesnar may be the perfect bout. And this is because unlike the other Superstars I've mentioned, who're all feuding with someone or the other, this is a man who's doing nothing at all.

This week on RAW, Drew McIntyre made really short work of Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins in a very predictable match. It would make a lot more sense to have Drew McIntyre in this position, even if he were to come up short than to have him at the Royal Rumble and here's why.

There's no chance that Drew McIntyre is winning the Royal Rumble this year, of course. Therefore, it makes a lot of sense to put him in the spotlight than to make him another body that gets tossed out in the Royal Rumble.

McIntyre vs. Lesnar is a believable match and I can totally imagine the former striding out to cut a promo on the WWE Champion.
