WWE RAW: Best match of the night

KAne

It has become a trend of late, the Shield winning the best match of the night award and it wasn’t very different this week too as they managed to give us a match that is easily the best TV match of the year.

Before the match started, Daniel Bryan was given the push that he needed to overcome the feeling that he was the weak link of the team. Bret Hart met both Kane and Bryan backstage. Bret Hart assured that Bryan wasn’t what he assumed him to be which was enough to get Bryan pumped up.

The match began after a commercial as Rollins and Bryan were in the ring. Bryan looked fired up right from the beginning and the credit must go to Bret Hart. Bryan looked extremely aggressive the entire match as he went on to bombard Rollins and Reigns outright with dropkicks which score a perfect ten.

After a few kicks to the corner of the ring. Kane asks Bryan to calm down and tags himself in. This was then followed by the Hart Attack showing some respect to “The Hitman” who took the pain to talk to them backstage. Frankly the Hart Attack was a pleasant surprise to most of us.

Kane was then taken into control as the Shield continued their offense on him tagging in and out. After a desperate clothesline Kane gave Bryan the much required tag that got in a fired up Bryan. He landed kicks on Rollins repeatedly and followed it up with a huge dropkick. It was hard to make out what gave Bryan this energy. He seemed to connect every move precisely and with a lot more force. If only the kicks had been real Rollins would have had a real bad time post match.

The match had its moments of twists and turns as Reigns made the tag and took out Bryan. But the most interesting thing about this match was the chemistry between Rollins and Bryan. Every move that Bryan connected well, Rollins did enough justice to sell that move well. It was a pleasure to see these two wrestle inside the ring. Looking at them both the first thing that would arise in ones mind is their future as singles opponents. They will surely have a feud as a singles star in the near future.

Getting back to the match, Bryan after a few offensive knocks was brought back into control by Rollins after a huge clothesline and he then mocked Bryan by trying the surfboard which Bryan easily managed to break out from. The crowd started ”This is awesome chants’ which the match surely deserved. Bryan came up with some amazing moves and Rollins added to the flair.

Rollins managed to keep Bryan away from Kane and later Kane tagged in and took on Reigns. Bryan then got into the ring and threw Reigns out and followed him outside. Kane distracted by Bryan’s aggressive jump outside the ring gave Rollins enough leverage as he landed a rolling knee on Kane’s head for the pin.

The Shield managed to retain their tag team titles indicating a title run which looks too dominant to end anywhere in the near future.
