The Miz

Sportskeeda presents the ‘Power Rankings’ from this week’s WWE RAW episode. We aim at ranking superstars based on their weekly performance every Monday night. So, let us have a look at the performances of the superstars this week.

10) Prime Time Players

For the fourth consecutive week, The Prime Time Players manage to land a spot in our rankings. This week on RAW, they faced Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater of 3MB. The match went back and forth initially and then picked up pace. Both teams put up a fair show, but the PTP edged 3MB on the night, and are closing in on their pursuit of the tag team titles.

9) The Miz

The Miz has done an amazing job helping the WWE with its promotional work. However, he continues to get less screen time. This week, he faced Fandango (kudos to him for wrestling with a broken nose). The match was a short one and not exciting in any manner. Miz picked up the win with the used and abused figure four leg lock. The move has lost its sanctity!

8) Dolph Ziggler

Credits to Ziggler for putting up a fight despite being ambushed by Ambrose before the match. He faced Ryback , who finally entered the wrestling ring after weeks of bullying. Ryback made quick work of Ziggler and won the bout. Still wonder if Dolph’s comment earned him a date with the bully.

7) Ryback

Not far from his RAW opponent is Ryback at seven. He faced a worn out Dolph Ziggler. Despite the ‘Goldberg’ chants, Ryback showed his dominant persona as he made quick work of Ziggler. Not sure what the WWE have in store for Ryback, but he seems to be making many sporadic appearances as of late despite being in fine shape.

6) Big Show

Big Show’s wrestling match makes me want to rate him higher. But his ‘emotional outburst’ is what keeps him at 6. Despite having an ‘Iron clad contract’ and a pair of ‘Iron fists’, Big Show continues to bore us with the emotional drama. Despite getting the angle justified, he just fails to make an impression like he has done for the last decade. Anyways, Big Show faced Bryan in the main event on RAW. He put up a fair fight and was about to leave before being forced to knock out Daniel Bryan. He cried again, and that is very much it.

5) Rob Van Dam

The one constant thing about our Power Rankings is ‘Mr Monday Night’ Rob Van Dam. This week on RAW, he faced Damien Sandow, who has fallen from grace ever since he won the MITB contract. RVD again picked up the necessary momentum heading into Night Of Champions, as he delivered a five star frogsplash for the impressive victory.

4) CM Punk

If Promos will win you titles, then Punk would win them all. In yet another outstanding promo on RAW, Punk helped intensify his feud with Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman. With the kendo stick in his hand, Punk promised to break Heyman’s face. Irrespective of what the WWE have in store for these guys, their promos alone makes the match something to look forward to. Well done Punk, cheers on yet another outstanding promo.

3) Randy Orton

With the entire management on your side, how can something ever go wrong for you? Randy Orton enjoyed yet another one of those ‘rosy’ days on RAW. He ‘ambushed’ Daniel Bryan yet again on RAW, he dissed out Cody Rhodes in a backstage segment and also defeated the latter in match, ending his WWE career. If this is the routine Orton is going to follow henceforth, then prepare for some stale segments in the WWE.

2) Cody Rhodes

Perhaps the most impressive star on the night, Cody Rhodes rose to the occasion for the first time in his WWE career. A backstage segment and some loose talk with Triple H earned him a ‘career on the line’ match against Randy Orton. Cody Rhodes performed better than ever with some impressive offences. However, as luck would have it, Orton came up with an ‘RKO from nowhere’ to deny Rhodes a win and a longer WWE stint. Rhodes looked promising both in the ring and on the mike. The WWE may have some plans lined up for him ahead.

1) Daniel Bryan

Despite being humiliated and ambushed and beaten and what not by the ‘new look Corporation’, Daniel Bryan simply refuses to budge for the third week in succession.

This week, he was scheduled to face The Big Show. Bryan put up a ‘I’ll beat you like I did before’ promo before the match and almost lived up to his word, before The Shield and Triple H intervened causing mayhem.

And just like every other RAW, Bryan was fallen in the middle ring as the show wound up. Kudos to Bryan for his fighting spirit. But like Booker T said, he stands no chance against Triple H and his henchmen alone.
