RAW Results: Lashley suffers shock loss; Huge interference in Title rematch

MVP and Bobby Lashley kicked off RAW and proceeded to celebrate last night's title defense. MVP bragged about how badly Lashley beat up Drew and Braun before issuing an open challenge on behalf of the champ.

Drew McIntyre interrupted MVP before he could finish talking and walked out to the ring. Drew wanted to face Lashley again but MVP stated the rules: the open challenge was for anyone other than Braun and Drew.


AJ Styles vs. Elias on RAW

Elias and AJ kicked off the singles match and AJ got a huge kick early on. Elias hit a spinebuster and then a dropkick on Styles, taking control of the match. The Drifter executed a gorilla press face-drop on Styles before AJ sent Elias outside.

AJ came back with a Pele Kick and Ushigoroshi before Elias hit the running knee on Styles and got a near-fall.

The Drifter charged at Styles but AJ hit him with the drop toe hold. He was about to hit the Phenomenal Forearm but Jaxson Ryker interfered, earning AJ a DQ win.

Result: AJ Styles def. Elias via DQ

Backstage on RAW, Riddle was talking to The New Day and Randy and wanted to combine the two teams.

He asked Randy to apologize to The New Day and instead, Kofi and Randy ended up getting into a fight and decided to have a match later.


Alexa's Playground on RAW

Alexa was at her Playground with Lilly on RAW and they had guests on for the first time. Women's tag champs Tamina and Natalya were there as guests and Alexa said Lilly wanted to know their favorite colors.

Natalya said hers was pink and Tamina threatened Alexa before Bliss said that Lilly liked the way Tamina beat up Reginald. Alexa was rambling about her demonic doll when the tag team champs walked off the set.

Drew Gulak vs. Angel Garza on RAW

Gulak was angry and unloaded on Garza as the match began on RAW. Angel Garza came back with a chop and a slam before hitting a slingshot from the top rope.

Garza took control of the match and went for a stalling backbreaker and then a knee in the corner. Gulak took the Wing Clipper before Garza got the pin and picked up the win on RAW.

Garza shoved a rose into Gulak's mouth after the match, like he promised to do last week.

Akira Tozawa becomes the new 24/7 Champion on RAW

R-Truth was backstage on RAW and Tozawa sneaked up from behind, pinning him during an interview and getting the 24/7 title.


Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston on RAW

Randy got the upper hand early on with a chokehold and a tackle by Kingston managed to toss Orton outside and into the barricades.

Back in the ring, Kingston got a big splash and a two-count. Orton grounded Kofi again before Kingston hit a dropkick and looked to have injured his shoulder in the process.

Kofi took a Powerslam on RAW before Orton was distracted by Woods on the outside, allowing Kingston to roll Randy up for the win.

Result: Kofi Kingston def. Randy Orton

Orton was furious and walked off after the match while Riddle went up to The New Day and pushed Woods down before following after Randy.

Backstage on RAW, Naomi & Lana were arguing with Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke about who would get a tag team title shot before Charlotte showed up. Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce told The Queen that she might get a RAW women's title shot if she beat Asuka tonight.

Rhea Ripley showed up next and said that she wanted new challengers, not Charlotte. Flair was furious and threatened to take the title from her by any means before leaving.


Tamina & Natalya (c) vs. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler - WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match on RAW

Jax took out Natalya right off the bat before Shayna tagged in and resumed the onslaught. Baszler went for Natalya's arms before Tamina was tagged in.

Tamina took down Nia on RAW and lifted Baszler on her shoulders when Alexa appeared on the ramp.

Reginald was near the corner when a flamethrower went off mid-match, close to Reggie's face, sending him flying backwards.

Nia was distracted by what happened and the champs hit the Hart Attack on Baszler for the win.

Result: Tamina & Natalya def. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler to retain the Women's Tag Team Championship

Lilly was laughing after the match and it looked like the untimely fireworks were her doing.

Sheamus was in the ring and called for Ricochet to return his jacket and hat. Ricochet instead showed up backstage in the stolen clothes and mocked Sheamus before their match.

Sheamus tried to attack Ricochet during his entrance but the former US Champion countered it. After the bell was rung, Sheamus unloaded on Ricochet in the ring and hit a big slam. The One and Only went for a hold but was sent into the mat before Sheamus went for a submission of his own.

Sheamus sent Ricochet into the ring posts on the outside before the match returned to the ring on RAW. Ricochet reversed The Celtic Warrior's offense and unloaded on the champ before taking the Irish Curse Backbreaker for a near fall.

Ricochet hit the Avalanche Spanish Fly but Sheamus managed to kick out. Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick for a near fall before Ricochet slapped the US Champion. The Celtic Warrior hit him with another Brogue Kick for the win on RAW.

Result: Sheamus def. Ricochet

After the match, Sheamus hinted that he could answer Lashley's open challenge later on in the night.

Mace and T-Bar threatened to end Bobby Lashley's title run in a backstage promo.


Asuka vs. Charlotte on RAW

Asuka hit a dropkick and a hip attack early on before Charlotte hit an elbow. The Queen took control and sent Asuka to the outside before rolling her back into the ring to break the count.

Rhea Ripley came out to spectate and Charlotte tried to use the distraction but failed to get the pin. After a break, the two Superstars were on the mat and traded pin attempts before Charlotte hit a backbreaker.

Charlotte failed to get the pin on RAW and was starting to get desperate. Asuka got the hip attack and bulldog for a near fall of her own. Both women traded big boots before Asuka countered the Natural Selection.

Charlotte was trapped in the Asuka Lock and managed to get to the ropes. Flair sent the Japanese star into the announce desk before taunting Ripley.

Flair sent Asuka back into the ring and Ripley got on the apron for a distraction before being knocked off. Asuka capitalized on the distraction and rolled up Flair for the win!

Result: Asuka def. Charlotte

John Morrison was backstage on RAW and said that The Miz might never be the same after WrestleMania Backlash.


Damian Priest vs. John Morrison - Lumberjack Match on RAW

Priest hit an early forearm and a sling blade, taking Morrison down. The Archer of Infamy was the first to be thrown outside and took a beating from the lumberjacks. Back in the ring, Priest hit a big stomp on Morrison who slid out of the ring and Nikki Cross threw him back in.

Priest hit a modified DDT on Morrison before Priest took another beating from the lumberjacks on RAW. Morrison tossed Priest into the crowd outside before Cedric attacked Shelton and a brawl broke out at ringside.

Priest reversed a top rope set up and hit a superplex to the outside, clearing the crowd. Back in the ring, Priest hit a hurricanrana and then Hit the Lights for the win.

Grade: B

After the match, Damian Priest said that he would accept Lashley's open challenge tonight.

Backstage, Shelton Benjamin said that he too was in for the open challenge before Cedric came in to taunt him and was beaten down.


Bobby Lashley's Open Challenge on RAW

Kofi Kingston came out after MVP called for the open challenge once more and it looked like we were heading for a WWE Title match on RAW. The main event was about to begin but MVP got on the mic and said that neither he nor Lashley mentioned a title match and pulling a swerve on everyone.

Kofi unloaded on Lashley after the bell but was sent crashing into the mat for a near fall on RAW. Kingston got out of the vertical suplex before hitting some big dropkicks and a baseball slide. Kofi hit a dive over the ropes and Lashley looked to be in trouble as we headed for a break.

Back on RAW, Lashley was back in control with a huge elbow in the corner. Lashley got the vertical suplex before getting a near fall. Kofi managed to hit a DDT on the champ before hitting a big dive.

Woods tried to interfere before being sent to the back. While the ref was distracted, MVP was about to hit Kofi with his cane but Drew McIntyre walked in and took it away. Drew then hit Lashley with the cane.

Kofi took advantage of the distraction and rolled up Lashley for the win!

We got a slow start to tonight's RAW but things got heated with a great match between Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston followed by a title defense from Tamina & Natalya.

Ricochet and Sheamus had a rematch from last night while Asuka beat Charlotte once again. Bobby Lashley and MVP put forward an open challenge on the RAW after WrestleMania Backlash and Kofi Kingston came out to accept the challenge in the main event.
