Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Robert Roode - WWE Championship match on RAW

Ad

Roode had the upper hand early but Drew stopped him in his tracks and took him down. The match went outside and Roode was hit with a reverse Alabama slam off the announce desk and onto the apron.

Ad

Back after a break, Roode was tossed from the top rope before Ziggler got involved. Drew was busy taking out Ziggler when Roode took the champ down from behind and took out his legs.

Roode locked in the Figure-Four leglock and Drew got out before hitting the Glasgow Kiss and then some suplexes. Drew was hit with the spinebuster for a near fall before he hit the Futureshock DDT and for a near fall of his own.

Ziggler ran a distraction and was taken out before Roode hit the Glorious DDT but still couldn't get the pin. Roode tried for a DDT again but took the Claymore before Drew got the three-count.

Backstage on RAW, a shady janitor took a steel chair to the Legends Lounge and it was Randy Orton who had Night Vision Goggles. Orton switched off the lights in the room where the WWE legends were and destroyed them in the dark before sneaking out.

We got an entertaining RAW after Clash of Champions. Asuka had a great rematch against Vega and the Aalyah - Murphy Storyline took a predictable turn while Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens put on great singles matches.
