After a decent Survivor Series pay-per-view, we are all set for this first episode of WWE RAW that immediately follows the event. Given that the Red brand picked a dominant win over SmackDown, the entire roster is expected to be in great spirits tonight. However, now that the war between the two brands is over, we are bound to see new feuds and friendships develop over the next few weeks.

A loss for some of the top champions from WWE RAW is bound to trigger more Superstars into challenging them on the Red brand. Between the new rivalries and expected returns, the show looks promising tonight.

In this article, we will take a look at things that can happen on WWE RAW this week. So, without further ado, let’s begin.

#5 Drew McIntyre finds his next challenger on WWE RAW

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre locked horns with Universal Champion Roman Reigns in an epic main event of Survivor Series 2020. Even though Reigns who won this match, McIntyre ended up winning everyone’s respect. The WWE RAW Superstar was by no means less than his opponent and the two dominant forces are expected to lock horns once again in the future.

Now that Survivor Series is over, McIntyre might find his next title challenger on WWE RAW tonight. The Red brand’s roster is stacked, and McIntyre has proved that he can deliver great feuds even with the most unexpected opponents. Thus, we might see a few promising names that can step up to challenge McIntyre for his WWE Championship.

There are several Superstars, including the likes of AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, and Keith Lee, who can face McIntyre next. AJ Styles can probably use the fact that he led WWE RAW to a clean sweep over SmackDown at Survivor Series and earned a point for the Red brand, something that McIntyre couldn’t do. Even if Styles doesn’t win the title by the end of this feud, the storyline will serve its purpose and McIntyre will look stronger than ever.

Drew McIntyre is on a brilliant run on the Red brand, and a couple of exciting feuds will help put a great end to his fantastic year. He has been a dedicated performer and has evidently given his best to each one of his rivalries so far. Thus, he deserves to be a part of good story-telling on WWE RAW. Of course, there’s a looming threat from Miz, but we will discuss that in detail later in this article.

#4 Charlotte Flair returns on WWE RAW

Could we see this happen again?

At Survivor Series 2020, WWE RAW Women’s Champion Asuka was shockingly defeated by SmackDown Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks. Given that Banks picked a clean victory over Asuka, the latter’s position as a dominant champion of the Red brand is once again bound to fall under scrutiny.

While it would be better if one of the Superstars from the women’s division of WWE RAW will step up to challenge Asuka, we can’t help but think of a possible return tonight. Over the last couple of days, Charlotte Flair has teased her return to the ring. Thus, she could very well come back tonight and challenge Asuka for her title – citing the latter’s loss at Survivor Series as a reason.

Charlotte Flair was last seen on WWE RAW back in June, following which she took a hiatus from in-ring action owing to medical reasons. However, her latest posts on social media suggest that she is ready to return inside the squared circle. It will be interesting to see what the former multi-time world champion will do once she comes back to the Red brand.

#3 WWE RAW starts building up towards a match between Lana and Nia Jax at TLC

Nia Jax must be really mad at herself
Nia Jax must be really mad at herself

The women’s five-on-five Survivor Series Elimination Match last night was full of surprises. But the biggest one was WWE RAW’s unconventional victory. Although Lana was literally put on a timeout during the match, she went on to become the sole survivor. Of course, this made Nia Jax extremely angry who was the reason why any of that happened.

Here’s what happened during this match. Nia Jax instructed the rest of her teammates not to tag Lana into the match. When the latter tagged herself in, she was brought out and put on a timeout. Following that, WWE RAW’s team started losing its members one by one until only Nia Jax was left. She was fighting with Bianca Belair until both Superstars were counted out. Since Lana was the only one who wasn’t eliminated, she became the sole survivor and won the match was WWE RAW.

To say that Nia Jax is angry about the whole situation would be an understatement. After putting Lana through the table for nine consecutive weeks on WWE RAW, Jax will look to do the same. Except for this time, Lana could get some help which would eventually lead to a Tables match between the two Superstars at WWE’s upcoming pay-per-view, TLC.

#2 The New Day are challenged for the titles by The Hurt Business on WWE RAW

In one of the best matches at Survivor Series 2020, The Street Profits picked the biggest win of their career by defeating The New Day. This match was great, and all the four Superstars involved gave their best inside the ring. That said, a loss for New Day at the pay-per-view will now tempt their rivals to challenge them for their WWE RAW Tag Team Championships.

Ahead of Survivor Series, we saw The Hurt Business eyeing the tag titles. Both Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander had a great match against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. In fact, it can be said that The Hurt Business members emerged as a serious threat to The New Day’s titles. Thus, we can now see them go after Kingston and Woods, challenging them to another championship match on WWE RAW.

The New Day are brilliant inside the ring, and they are somehow even better when it comes to putting over other talents. A title feud between New Day and Hurt Business would be extremely beneficial for the latter. Not to forget, we have seen both groups exchange words, and it has often accounted for the most entertaining segments on three-hour-long episodes of WWE RAW.

#1 What’s next for The Miz on WWE RAW?

Miz is slowly gaining a lot of momentum in WWE
Miz is slowly gaining a lot of momentum in WWE

At Survivor Series 2020, The Miz won the Dual Brand Battle Royal during the Kickoff Show. The general speculation surrounding this victory suggests that the creative want him to look like a world champion on WWE RAW before he eventually cashes-in his Money in the Bank contract. Miz often portrays himself as an opportunist, and that’s exactly what he did on Sunday night as well.

Dominik Mysterio managed to push Miz out of the ring, but he had actually gone out from underneath the ropes. Following that, Dominik Mysterio managed to eliminate Chad Gable and thought that he had won the match. However, his celebration was cut short by Miz who snuck back inside the ring and eliminated Dominik Mysterio to pick the first victory for WWE RAW.

This match helped in highlighting how sneaky Miz can be when there’s a big prize waiting for him – a trait that will directly help him with his Money in the Bank contract. We have seen Miz do the same thing before, and he will continue to hover over Drew McIntyre’s title on WWE RAW from now until the day he finally cashes-in his Money in the Bank contract.
