#1 Eric Bischoff reveals if WWE superstars have any creative control

There are a lot of stories about how WWE superstars have no say when it comes to their on-screen creative direction. Multiple released superstars have talked about how their ideas were not heard by the company.
Former Executive Director of SmackDown, Eric Bischoff, has revealed that WWE superstars having no creative control is a myth. He said that superstars have full authority to contact the creative team and discuss their ideas. However, they don't have the final say in most cases.
“If there is a perception out there that wrestlers really don’t have a voice in their creative in WWE and it’s really all up to the writers, that’s not accurate. I can only tell you about the very brief time that I was involved in the creative process back in 2019 or whatever it was, but talent would often go to the writers with their ideas and it was up to the writers to help shape that idea," Eric Bischoff said.
While WWE has scripts which need to be followed now, there was an era when superstars could come up with their own promos without being given lines.
