Carlito returned to WWE at this year's Royal Rumble after an absence of almost 10 years. The former United States Champion looks to be in great shape and we will likely be seeing much more of the 'cool' Superstar.

Speaking on his podcast, pro wrestling legend Arn Anderson talked about Carlito's first stint with WWE and why he was never pushed as a main-event player. Anderson stated that Carlito was more of a 'gimmick character' which is why he would've never become the WWE Champion.

"For the big title? No, because he was a gimmick. Character. Entertaining character and I don't think he would have had the dedication because he was a big kid, and he was having fun. That's great if you are one of the troops."

Carlito had become one of the top mid-carders in WWE before he left the company several years ago.

His feud with John Cena is considered the highlight of his career. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Carlito in WWE. Let's see if he will finally be able to enter the main-event title picture.
