#4 Drew McIntyre's loss is Bray Wyatt's gain
The Scottish Superstar was on a roll before he had to take a sabbatical to tend to his injury issues. While some rumors indicated that Drew McIntyre was the backstage favorite to win the KOTR Tournament before he had to exit, others suggested that he will get a major push upon his return and possibly feud with the Universal Champion Seth Rollins. However, that may not be entirely true.
Sportskeeda's Tom Colohue has reported that McIntyre's illness resulted in WWE having to make a lot of last-minute changes in their plans. One of these changes happens to be the increased, sped-up involvement of Bray Wyatt in the Universal Championship scene.
Colohue's source suggested that some members of the WWE management were not happy with McIntyre for hiding his injury:
Drew didn’t tell people he was suffering until it was almost too late and there was a scramble to work around it. It could cost him later on. Nobody wants to see someone working injured. It really doesn’t help anything.”
McIntyre is one of the brightest stars in the WWE locker room and hopefully, this episode does not hamper his push.
