#1 WWE interested in signing Tessa Blanchard
As reported by Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has sent out feelers regarding signing Tessa Blanchard.
Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.
The promotion recently terminated Blanchard's Impact Wrestling contract. It was reported that the former Impact Wrestling World Champion's contract was set to run out at the end of this month; however, Impact hoped they could get her back for one more match at the Slammiversary PPV on July 18th.
Blanchard had not appeared on Impact TV since the COVID-19 pandemic began and she was at her home in Mexico along with her fiancee and fellow Impact Wrestling star Daga.
Blanchard worked a handful of matches in NXT in 2016 before being one of the competitors in the Mae Young Classic in 2017. WWE reportedly passed on the opportunity to sign her back then due to attitude-related issues.
Vince McMahon may now be ready to get her on board as Tessa Blanchard is widely considered to be one of the best female performers in the world.
An AEW signing also seems likely as her father Tully Blanchard works for Tony Khan's company. We should know more about Tessa Blanchard's next destination in the weeks to follow.
