Eddie Kingston has settled in nicely in All Elite Wrestling ever since signing a full-time contract with the company. The seasoned veteran revealed on the AEW Unrestricted podcast with hosts Aubrey Edwards and Tony Schiavone that WWE did contact him regarding an offer.

However, Kingston revealed that his mother convinced him to choose AEW over WWE. The 38-year-old star admitted that he is a 'mama's boy,' and her opinions influence his decisions to a significant degree.

Kingston's mother told him that he won't be happy in WWE and that he'd probably get fired in three weeks. Kingston paid heed to his mother's advice and ended up going to AEW. Here's what Kingston revealed on AEW Unrestricted:

"My mom. My mom told me. I'm a mama's boy in the sense that what she says goes. Her opinion holds a lot of weight with me to the point where I've been with girls I thought I was in love with, and my mother will be like, 'I don't think she is good,' and I would break up with them. It's just the way it is. My mother knows me better than anybody. I was contacted by WWE, and it was humbling. It was nice that they contacted me. I was trying to think where I should go. My mom said, look, 'you won't be happy in WWE. I know you, and you won't be happy. You will probably get fired three weeks in.' I was like, 'well, then I'm going to AEW' and she said 'good.' She was the deciding factor. There were a lot of things going for AEW, but she was the deciding factor." H/t Theringreport
