#2 Reason why RETRIBUTION wasn't used at WWE Clash of Champions
The RETRIBUTION storyline is one of the most prominent angles on WWE TV, and it was odd that the faction didn't make their presence felt at Clash of Champions.
Dave Meltzer was the first to reveal on the Saturday Night's Main Event podcast that RETRIBUTION was not cleared to compete at the Clash of Champions PPV.
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet provided a big update on the status of the stable.
The five core members of the group - T-Bar (Dijakovic), Mace (Maddin), Slapjack (Thorne), Retaliation (Martinez), and Reckoning (Yim) - reportedly tested negative for COVID-19. However, they have to quarantine themselves for two weeks as the members were exposed to a person who had COVID-19.
Here's what Satin reported:
Regarding RETRIBUTION not being cleared to compete at the moment, sources tell me all 5 members tested negative for COVID-19. However, the group's members each have to quarantine themselves for two weeks because they came into proximity with someone who tested positive.
RETRIBUTION is apparently in the same boat as Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler and Nikki Cross. There is a possibility that the top RAW faction is kept away from WWE TV until mid-October.
