What's the story?

The 2019 Hall of Fame is set to take place on April 6th, but despite being less than two months away, WWE is still yet to announce any inductees of the upcoming class.

In case you didn't know...

The Hall of Fame usually takes place the night before WrestleMania and sees many of the companies biggest stars take their place amongst the elite of wrestling. Interestingly, WWE usually reveals the first name in the class the night after The Royal Rumble, but this year there have been no names released as of yet.

There were previous reports that the company wasn't expected to take the Hall of Fame announcements and ceremony as a whole as seriously this year since there was a rumor that Batista was set to be the headliner for this year, but he turned down the chance to make a return.

The heart of the matter

According to a report by PWInsider, WWE is expected to start announcing the 2019 Hall of Fame class the night after Elimination Chamber on February 18th's episode of Raw. This would give the company more than a month to announce all of the names who are expected to make up the class.

Currently, the only name that has been rumored to be part of this year's class is The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart & Jimmy Hary) so it will be interesting to see which other former WWE stars will be added to wrestling's elite at the Barclays Center on April 6th.

What's next?

Elimination Chamber takes place this weekend which means that the Hall of Fame announcements will begin next week on Raw and lead all the way up to WrestleMania weekend in April.
