Since their not-so-impressive debut, The Club have been done justice with the current strong booking. AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows had to play second fiddle to Roman Reigns in Creative’s uphill battle to put “The Guy” over, but that has mercifully been done away with, thanks in no small part to the noble Seth Rollins.
One could argue that the angle with Cena is the same as The Club’s previous one, just with a different face, but this could be a defibrillator. Dailywrestlingnews.com reports that Creative has considered the possibility of strengthening the stable with a fourth member.
And who could be the chosen one? “The King Of Strong Style” Shinsuke Nakamura or NXT Champion Samoa Joe. There has been a lot of speculation on former NXT Champion Finn Balor being inserted into an angle with The Club, given his history with the group, but there is nothing to indicate it, as of now.
Another inescapable question is the fate of The Club come WWE Draft. With just about a month to go for the great divide, will the WWE risk cannibalizing something that has made fans harbor this much faith?
