WWE Rumors: Was John Cena medically cleared to appear at WrestleMania 32?

Calculated risk or foolhardy move?

The belligerent half of the WWE Universe that’s ever-ready to defend their monarch, John Cena, will want to sit down for this one. After his ear-splitting cameo in Dallas, we are led to believe that the Leader of the Cenation won’t be back on the roster soon.

Cena told Complex magazine sometime during WrestleMania weekend that he was cleared to wrestle but his absence on the following RAW cast doubts on this. Unsurprisingly, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Cena was fit enough for the spot where The Rock and he laid out the Wyatts but he’s not good enough to return.

It was reported a while ago that Cena’s scheduled return would be in July or at the earliest, mid-May or June and that still holds true. Cena hinted at a WrestleMania appearance when he appeared on FOX 411 to promote his show ‘American Grit’, on April 1st.

Now we know that it was no joke and that the 400+ hours of therapy paid off, at least for the few minutes that followed the shortest match in WrestleMania history. The 38-year-old tore his right rotator cuff and suffered a few related injuries that required surgery.
