WWE Rumors: Major update on Luke Harper's WWE return

Look who's coming back to action very soon
Look who's coming back to action very soon

What's the story?

Shortly after WrestleMania 34, Erick Rowan suffered a bicep tear and had to undergo surgery for the same. During this period of time, Luke Harper too suffered a wrist injury and underwent surgery.

Thankfully, Harper is slated to return to action very soon indeed. PWInsider has reported that he'll be at the WWE Performance Center this week.

In case you didn't know...

So, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan used to be part of the Wyatt Family. Their names were shortened simply to Harper and Rowan and they were paired together in a monster tag team known simply as The Bludgeon Brothers on SmackDown Live.

The Bludgeon Brothers are no more, unfortunately. This is because Rowan has been repackaged and he is now Daniel Bryan's intellectual peer, or in simpler terms, his sidekick.

Bray Wyatt has not been seen on TV ever since Matt Hardy suffered an injury that forced him out of action.

The heart of the matter

Right now all we know is that Luke Harper will be returning to the Performance Center to gear up for a comeback later in the week. We do not know when he will be making his debut or if he will be repackaged when he does.

There are a wide variety of opportunities that Harper could potentially capitalise on when he does make his comeback to action. He could obviously team up with Rowan and provide even more muscle for Daniel Bryan.

Conversely, this is his opportunity to branch out as a singles star and show the WWE Universe what he can do. Bray Wyatt and Harper could team up too. The possibilities are indeed quite endless.

What's next?

Let's hope that Harper gets cleared soon. With the departure of Ambrose and the injury to Rollins, RAW needs some firepower. I wonder which brand Harper will be on.

Which brand should Luke Harper return to? Let us know in the comments.
