WWE Rumors: Paige does not figure in any plans going forward

Will Paige return to TV when she’s cleared to compete?

What’s the story?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that Women’s Superstar Paige isn’t factoring into any plans going forward after her neck heals despite being cleared to compete.

In case you didn’t know...

The decline in the relationship between Paige and the WWE started in 2016 when she was on a noticeable decline from her position as a top star in the Women’s Division, following the emergence of the Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch.

Another major issue with Paige and the WWE arose when WWE officials didn’t like the relationship between Paige and Alberto Del Rio and drafted them to separate shows. Del Rio eventually left the WWE and signed with Impact Wrestling while Paige was removed from TV following her neck injury.

The heart of the matter

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paige won’t be factored into any plans going forward because of all that’s happened over this past year. The movie might keep her with the company a while longer, but the fact that no one knows if Paige wants to come back to the WWE doesn’t seem to be helping her case.

What’s next?

Paige’s contract with the WWE doesn’t end until 2019 according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter so the WWE probably won’t release her if they still see value in her because of her popularity or the potential her movie has.

The WWE decided not to punish anyone following the photo and video leaks, but any more incidents could end with the WWE cutting ties with the Anti-Diva.

Author’s take

This situation with Paige and the WWE is quite a conundrum. On one hand, Paige might want to follow Del Rio to another company so they could spend time together and on the other hand, Paige may have some things she still wants to do in the WWE.

Ultimately, no one can answer these questions except for Paige and there won’t be any way of knowing until she speaks out; either in a WWE ring or a shoot interview.
