WWE Rumors: Several last minute changes expected for the brand split

Brace yourselves for more than a few surprises

There are just about four days to go for the much-hyped brand split and true to form, the WWE is far from having things concretized for the big move. Next Tuesday’s SmackDown will be the first live edition in five years and the IWC will have its eyes glued to the Draft.

The mad scramble which we envisage is the WWE backstage might be quite close to the truth. The Wrestling Observer reports that the original plans for some names in the Draft might have been altered now, meaning those attached with a particular show might not end up on those shows.

Another thing Dave Meltzer mentioned is that WWE might have wrestlers from RAW appear on Superstars and those from SmackDown appear on Main Event. F4WOnline.com reports that there’s a possibility of some tag teams being split, but that’s not exactly an unexplored possibility.

The WWE has been airing promos of the Dudley Boyz, New Day and alarmingly, Enzo and Cass being asked about the prospect of finding themselves on different shows, separated from their partners.

One report that is relevant to the context is that Vince McMahon is very upset with Roman Reigns, with his Wellness Policy Violation rubbing salt into the wound. While the CEO was inclined to install Reigns and Cena as the faces of either show, he might just invest in Rollins and AJ Styles. Mr. McMahon is reportedly pleased as punch with both of them.
