The Phenom announced that he was “back”, and warned the SmackDown Live team not to lose to Raw or else they’d feel his wrath. Undertaker was the cornerstone of SmackDown for years, during the initial rendition of the brand split.

Undertaker’s return led to heavy rumours of a bout with AJ Styles, most likely in the Royal Rumble. For many, The Phenom vs. The Phenomenal One would be a dream match. Plus, WWE is looking to load up on attractions to draw over 60,000 fans for the Royal Rumble.

Goldberg is the first participant announced for the Royal Rumble match at the Alamodome. The Phenom’s presence would undoubtedly be a huge addition to the show, which promises to be a grand attraction.

Another rumour to fuel the AJ Styles-Undertaker match, reported by All Wrestling News, stated that there are plans for The Undertaker to defeat Styles for the WWE World Championship, and then face John Cena in a career-ending match at Wrestlemania 33, which would see Cena win his 16th World Championship.

This would be hitting multiple birds with one stone for WWE.

The Undertaker had a brief reunion with his “half brother” Kane upon exiting Smackdown Live:
