Will The Shield reunite ahead of next weekend's Fastlane?

What's the story?

Roman Reigns is expected to be part of Fastlane next Sunday night after making the announcement that his leukaemia is now in remission, but his role as part of the show is currently unknown.

In case you didn't know...

Reigns hasn't had a match in WWE since October when he revealed that his leukaemia had returned, and was then forced to walk away from WWE for a number of months. Reigns is now back and WWE has already teased that the former Universal Champion will reunite with his former Shield teammates in the coming weeks.

There have been a number of rumors about the upcoming match for Reigns at Fastlane but it seems that the actual match may still be up in the air.

The heart of the matter

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer via SEScoops, there are two current plans for Fastlane which include Reigns reuniting with The Shield to take on Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre, but there is also the added option that Braun Strowman could be added to the match alongside The Shield and Elias could be put on the opposing team after his recent issues with Dean Ambrose.

This week's episode of Raw will hopefully hold more of the answers, but either way, it will be interesting to see Reigns performing in a WWE ring once again.

What's next?

This week's episode of Raw should see Dean Ambrose make a decision as to whether or not he will join his Shield brothers once again after a number of months of being the villainous character that he himself hasn't enjoyed.
