Will Paige be at Survivor Series?
Will Paige be at Survivor Series?

What's the story?

Paige is expected to return any second now, with several rumours suggesting it was going to be last week. That obviously didn't happen. Now new reports from the Wrestling Observer Radio has suggested that Paige was never planned to return before Survivor Series, and isn't expected until after the pay-per-view.

In case you didn't know...

There have been recent rumours suggesting that Paige was going to return to action on Monday Night RAW and get added to the Survivor Series women's match and that the reason that didn't happen was that she had some backstage heat after posting a photo of herself with Alicia Fox.

The heart of the matter

However, if the latest report from the Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Cageside Seats) is to be believed, both the rumour that Paige would return on Monday Night RAW, and that Paige was in trouble for posting the picture with Alicia Fox were incorrect.

Instead, Paige was pencilled in to return after Survivor Series and it would seem that those plans haven't changed at all. It's more than likely that Paige was backstage at RAW just to prepare for her return and was never supposed to re-debut that night.

What's next?

Even with this report, there is still some speculation that Paige could return during the Survivor Series pay-per-view, especially as there's now a free spot on the SmackDown LIVE women's team following Charlotte's dethroning of Natalya's SmackDown Women's Title run.

Author's take

To be honest, this makes a lot of sense, if the WWE planned to have Paige interrupt the Triple Threat match on RAW between Bayley, Dana Brooke and Mickie James and find herself in the team for the women's Traditional Survivor Series match then I don't think they'd change those plans just because of a backstage photo.
