Ever since the news that brand split will come into effect on July 19 broke out, the WWE universe has been buzzing with speculations on who will be part of which roster. There have been numerous rumors going around about this matter and as July 19 nears, more and more wild speculations are spread.
According to Cagesideseats, the latest word is that both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will be the top stars of Raw whereas, the blue brand will have John Cena and AJ Styles as its premium stars. The rivalry between the two duos is said to extend even after the brand split and be the underlying theme for each show.
It looks like Roman’s suspension has not hindered these plans in any way and WWE will be going ahead as planned. But it is also rumoured that Dean Ambrose’s recent connection with fans may just have a change in the way things are supposed to work out. Though nothing is clear and definitive as of now, we would soon have a definitive news on WWE’s plans in the upcoming weeks.
Also, Wade Keller of The Torch has said on Stone Cold’s podcast that both SmackDown and Raw will not only have distinctive rosters but will also have a distinction in the products itself. According to him, Raw will cater to the mainstream audience while SmackDown will cater to the hardcore wrestling fans. In that case, both John Cena and Roman Reigns will end up on Raw.
