Now that WWE's Monday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins, will have to shift his focus into becoming SmackDown's saviour, there are plenty of opportunities for him on the Blue brand.

Rollins had been the mainstay of WWE RAW for several years, and The Monday Night Messiah ran out of options on the Red brand before his move to Friday Night SmackDown.

The upcoming edition of SmackDown will mark the beginning of Rollins' tenure on FOX. So with that in mind, here are 5 exciting feuds for Seth Rollins on WWE SmackDown.

#5 Seth Rollins continues his feud with Murphy on WWE SmackDown

Murphy recently turned on his messiah, Seth Rollins, before the 2020 Draft. When Rollins was drafted to SmackDown, it was assumed that his heated rivalry against The Mysterios and Murphy would end as well. But Dominik and Rey Mysterio, as well as Murphy, were all drafted to the Blue Brand eventually.

So it's very likely that Seth Rollins and his former disciple will continue their Monday Night RAW feud over on Friday Night SmackDown. Apart from Aalyah, the Mysterio family doesn't want anything to do with Murphy's vendetta against Rollins.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio don't need to be a part of this feud and they can focus on their tag team game after being drafted to SmackDown as a unit. However, Aalyah may be an important factor in Rollins and Murphy's feud thanks to her equation with Murphy. A recent report claimed that Vince McMahon sees star potential in Aalyah, which is why she may get more opportunities to appear in multiple segments from this point onwards.

As for Murphy, he might become an exciting babyface in the long run as a result of his potential feud against Seth Rollins.

#4 Seth Rollins kickstarts a feud with Big E on WWE SmackDown

The New Day were separated in this year's WWE Draft. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were drafted as a tag team over to RAW, while Big E was retained by SmackDown.

It's no secret that WWE officials have been planning a solo push for Big E. A farewell match for all three New Day members has been booked for the upcoming edition of SmackDown. It would mark the end of Big E's solo feud against Sheamus, as the latter has been drafted to WWE RAW as well.

Big E's next feud is a mystery, which is where Seth Rollins comes into play. Rollins doesn't exactly have any disciples left, now that Murphy, Austin Theory, and the AOP no longer operate under his instructions.

The former Monday Night Messiah is always on the lookout to manipulate up-and-coming stars looking to make it big in the singles division, so a potential feud between Big E and Seth Rollins is not entirely out of the question.

Rollins could also act as a step-up for Big E so that the latter can eventually move on to a major feud with the WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.

#3 Seth Rollins can feud with Sami Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

It's been a while since Seth Rollins won a singles belt in WWE, and moving to SmackDown could open up a lot of opportunities for him. One of those opportunities revolve around Sami Zayn and his Intercontinental Title.

Sami Zayn may have won the aforementioned title from Jeff Hardy in a Triple Threat Match that also involved AJ Styles, but both of Zayn's rivals were drafted to WWE RAW. This opens up the No. 1 contender's spot for Sami Zayn's Intercontinental title.

Seth Rollins could very well get involved with Sami Zayn in an effort to become a three-time Intercontinental Champion in WWE.

Both of them are heel Superstars right now, but Zayn has the ability to become the ultimate antagonist when paired with another antagonist. Such is the case because he is the most intentionally annoying Superstar in WWE today. Zayn's buffoonery was on full display when he outdid AJ Styles in terms of being unlikeable for the sake of the character.

Sami Zayn lost against Seth Rollins the last time they went one-on-one back in 2019, so it will be interesting to see how they would fare against each other in a match in 2020.

#2 Seth Rollins could feud against a returning Daniel Bryan on WWE SmackDown

Daniel Bryan hasn't been on television since he lost in the final round of WWE SmackDown's Intercontinental Championship Tournament against AJ Styles. That tournament concluded back in June. His sabbatical from the company is likely due to the birth of his second child.

Bryan was retained by SmackDown during this year's WWE Draft, so he could return to the company sooner rather than later. Whenever Bryan makes his return to the Blue brand, a potential feud against Seth Rollins could be an interesting option for both parties.

Bryan and Rollins have squared off against each other in the past, but it's important to note in the past four to five years, Bryan vs Rollins has only occurred twice, and that too on the same night (RAW) back in 2019.

In their 2019 encounter, Seth Rollins was a traditional WWE babyface while Daniel Bryan operated as a heel alongside Erick Rowan. Now that the roles are reversed, a feud between these in-ring specialists on SmackDown would be a treat to watch.

#1 Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns would be a huge feud on WWE SmackDown

Everyone knows about Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins' history as Shield brothers, but both of them have evolved past that phase in their WWE careers in 2020.

Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins has occurred several times in the past, but the dynamics of their potential encounter would be completely different at the moment. Roman Reigns has established himself as a dominant heel, at last.

While Seth Rollins is also a heel character right now, that may very well change if Rollins were to step up against Reigns and challenge him for the Universal title on WWE SmackDown.

A match against Roman Reigns has to be the most profitable reason why The Monday Night Messiah was drafted to the Blue brand. There will be long-term consequences when they cross paths on the same show, with one of those consequences being a potential face turn for Rollins.

Given the current nature of their on-screen characters, Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins sounds like a WrestleMania main event when compared to all the other entries mentioned in this article.
