WWE Smackdown moved back to Thursdays from this week and the show has a new announcing team made of Michael Cole, Byron Saxton and Jerry Lawler.
Saxton brings out Daniel Bryan, who is visibly very happy and upon rolling the footage from last year’s Extreme Rules where he was attacked by Kane, he talks about Kane and their history together in the company. He promises to win the Rumble and then the title at Wrestlemania, but is interrupted by the Authority who come down to witness the match between Bryan and Kane.
Daniel Bryan vs Kane
Bryan straight away goes after Kane firing on all cylinders with kicks and a drop toehold onto the bottom rope. Kane gains control with a big uppercut and other power moves before Bryan is able to connect with a crossbody off the top rope. He follows it up with a clotheslinewhich starts the ‘Yes’ chants from the crowd. Kane ends up in a Yes lock, but the rest of the authority hits the ring and causes a DQ. Bryan is able to escape but is followed by the authority when Reigns and Ambrose join him on the ramp. Triple H announces a 6-man tag match for later in the night.

THE USOS & NAOMI vs. THE MIZ, MIZDOW & ALICIA FOX
The mix tag match involved a lot of back and forth action with the Usos almost picking up a win, only for the Miz to steal one with a skull-crushing finale taking advantage of a miscue fro the Usos.
Winner: Miz, Damien Mizdow & Alicia Fox via pinfall
Paul heyman comes out, talking about the attack by Rollins on his client BROCK LESNAR, which brings out Rollins who wants to cash in his money in the bank then and there. But because Brock isn’t in the building, he threatens to go after Heyman as he wants to take out the brains behind Brock’s rise to champion. Heyman is able to talk his way out of a curbstomp, but the situation did get tense.
Nikki Bella (w/ Brie Bella) vs Natalya (w/Paige)
After some back and forth action, Natalya is able to lock in the sharpshooter for a win following a strike to Nikki by Paige.
Winner: Natalya via submission
IC championship : BNB vs Sin Cara
BNB retains the title with a bull hammer on Sin Cara

Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs Kane, Big Show and Seth Rollins
Ambrose starts the action with Rollins and takes control. He tags in Reigns who continues the attack on Rollins, but Kane comes in who stops Reigns momentarily. Reigns comes back with a Back Suplex and tags in Bryan, who gets a great pop from the crowd.
The action continues in the ring for a while until chaos breaks out towards the end with Ambrose taking everybody out and Reigns taking care of the Big Show. IN the ring, Kane goes for a tombstone but Bryan escapes and hits him with a running knee for the pin.
Following the match, Triple H comes out and announces a rematch with Kane for Bryan, with his spot at the rumble on the line!
