After a great RAW where the locker room finally had enough of Triple H‘s regime, SmackDown this week will address how Triple H deals with the superstars involved in the mutiny.
Without further ado, let us now look at the matches scheduled for SmackDown this week and what are the outcomes we can expect from it.
1. Santino Marella vs Jack Swagger
After beating Antonio Cesaro, Santino has had a great run since his return. Santino, who according to The Real Americans & Zeb Colter, is an undignified immigrant, will be under pressure as Swagger will want to derail the momentum he has built up lately.
Also, beating Cesaro must have come as an insult to the Real Americans who will want to pick up a victory and show their superiority by any means. Plus, after losing at Night of Champions and RAW this week, the team will want to gain some relevance by picking up a victory. As for Santino, we can expect him to be entertaining as always.
2. Ryback vs ‘Jobber Nick’ from Cincinnati
Remember when Swagger thrived by feeding on jobbers about an year back? Well, Ryback has reverted back to that stage and looks like he will be feeding on a few more in a while now.
His newest prey is Nick who got bullied a few weeks back on RAW in Cincinnati. Looks like WWE is recruiting new jobbers into the roster. Anyway, Ryback will go against Nick and most probably run him down. The question that remains is how far will Ryback go to destroying this man.
4. The Shield vs. Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Rob Van Dam, Darren Young and Titus O’Neil (Handicap Gauntlet Match)
It’s punishment time as Vickie Gurrero wants all the rebels to pay for their action last week on RAW. She puts all the people who came out in a handicap gauntlet match against the Shield.
Though it is quite confusing to figure out why Vickie put this match in the first place, I guess we will have something that gives the Shield advantage in a match that will put the Shield in a bit of worry. Let’s hope Triple H has something planned to save his henchmen from a repeat of what happened on RAW this week.
5. Alberto Del Rio vs R-Truth
Triple H announced on Main Event this week the rematch between Del Rio and RVD at Battleground. After cheating his way to get hold of the title at Night of Champions, Del Rio will now need to regain some momentum as champion.
His match against R-Truth will be the right opportunity to display strength as the Heavyweight Champion. R-Truth, however, will want to come out his current slump in form and will want to pull out a huge upset by pinning the champion.
6. AJ Lee vs Naomi
AJ Lee will have a lot to boast about after defending her title at Night of Champions. Though Natalya looked strong with the double sharpshooter, AJ managed to sneak in at the right time.
Now AJ faces one of her challengers in SmackDown and there is every reason why she shouldn’t take this fight lightly. Naomi has been impressive in the ring and she could emerge as a strong challenger if she manages to win this. With no support from Layla, Aksana and Alicia, the champion will have a difficult time with this new challenger.
