Baron Corbin chooses his own Special Guest Referee for his Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins tonight at WWE Stomping Grounds, but it appears that there is only a select number of Superstars who would be happy to step into the role and help Corbin to become Universal Champion.

As a face Superstar, Rollins doesn't have a lot of enemies, which means that Corbin has found it hard to give anyone the job and the fact that Rollins is ambushing every star that has enquired about the role means that Corbin is now heading into Stomping Grounds without anyone to uphold the rules.

There is one man who could step into the ring after more than eight years on the sidelines as he looks to gain some revenge for the actions of Rollins when he was a heel. Edge was once the Rated R Superstar and a World Champion in his own right, so exacting some revenge on Rollins could be enough for him to be chosen.

#3 Edge could be open to a return for one more match

Edge has been away from the ring for eight years after it was revealed that he was suffering from Cervical Spinal Stenosis. The former Champion was forced to retire and has since switched to a career in the acting business where it's considered much safer for him and his injured neck.

Whilst it was mentioned that Edge would never be able to return to the ring when he left back in 2011, things could have changed for the star since technology is evolving every day. Daniel Bryan was able to return when many believed that his career was over so perhaps Edge has one last match in him and is hoping to make his return in a match against a man who has been compared to him so many times.

Edge like Rollins started out as a tag team specialist before becoming the stand out star of his team and going on to become a decorated Champion, Rollins has followed this blueprint and would love to step in the ring with the Rated R Superstar in the near future if it's physically possible.

#2 Seth Rollins tried to break Edge's neck

There was once a time when Seth Rollins was one of the most hated men on Monday Night Raw, the former World Champion broke up The Shield and then sided with The Authority before they were taken out of power by John Cena at Survivor Series 2015 (with the help of Sting).

Cena was the only person who could reinstate The Authority and he agreed to do so when Rollins took Edge hostage and threatened to curb stomp him on the briefcase which would definitely have paralyzed him. At the time, there was nothing Edge could do about his predicament since he wasn't cleared to wrestle at that time, but being a special guest referee is quite safe and Edge could get some revenge if he's able to cost Rollins his Universal Championship tonight instead.

Anyone who has a Twitter account right now will know that Becky Lynch and Edge have had their own back and forths over the past few weeks that have definitely turned nasty. Lynch started the argument with Beth Phoenix before she dragged Edge into it which in turn brought Seth Rollins into the debate.

Throughout their feud, Lynch has used the fact that Edge isn't cleared to compete against him whilst The Rated-R Superstar has made light of the fact that Rollins had his private photos leaked back in 2015. WWE has made a point in recent weeks of ensuring that the WWE Universe knows that Lynch and Rollins are in a relationship on WWE TV, which means that Edge stepping up to get some revenge would make sense.
