Possible reason why Dolph Ziggler was chosen to face Goldberg
One of the latest matches added to the WWE SummerSlam card sees former world champion Dolph Ziggler facing returning WWE legend Goldberg.
Goldberg’s last WWE match saw him face The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia earlier this year. That match pretty much ended up as a disaster, especially after Goldberg concussed himself after running into the ring post.
A Sportskeeda source told us about the possible reason why Ziggler was the Superstar handpicked to face Goldberg. Here’s what our source told us:
“For his experience. Everyone looks good wrestling with Dolph. WWE loves Dolph. There’s nothing he can’t do.”
We were also told the following as a possible reason:

Dolph Ziggler is a Superstar who can make Goldberg look great in the ring by bumping around for the legend. Ziggler’s standing also won’t be hurt by a quick squash match.
