10 WWE superstars and their favourite musicians

Someone once said that the power of music transcends the national, cultural boundaries but one thing that he or she failed to mention is about music transcending the ropes of the squared circle.WWE superstars might be big celebrities who own millions of followers but that doesn’t mean they are not allowed to be fanboys of some good old music. A lot of professional wrestlers out there have a surprisingly elegant taste in music compared to the regular fans.It is this type of realization that make us understand that professional wrestlers are regular people with likes and dislikes just like us, so here is a chapter from those wrestlers’ life with a look at their favorite musicians.

#11 Honourable Mention: R Truth Eminem

A list of favorite musicians wouldnt be complete without including Eminem in it. The rapperinspired million across the world with his music but when it comes to professional wrestlers, there areonly a handful wholoveEminem.

R- Truth apparently is the biggest fan of Eminem and even decided to drop an album inspired by the rapper. Alongside Eminem, Truthnoted Tupac as his inspiration while also being a big fan of Lil Wayne. John Cena meanwhile also loves to hear Eminem and is a big hip hop fan himself.

Cena has never walked away from voicing his opinion about Eminems music but once admitted that Eminem would eat him alive if the two ever locked horns in a rap battle.

#10 Zack Ryder Justin Beiber

Anyone who follows Zack Ryder’s YouTube series will know that he is a diehard fan of Justin Bieber. The situation is so worse that the guy even sings some of Bieber’s song every now and then.

Bieber fans usually receive a lot of stick and may be this is why a good push still eludes Ryder.

Also, Ryder gave Bieber some advice earlier this year when he asked the teenage singer to stop taking pictures without his shirt off since he was skinny. Ryder then urged Bieber to bulk up by hitting the gym. Now, imagine that scene.

#9 Steve Austin Iron Maiden and Slayer

Being one of the biggest names in professional wrestling history is not a cake walk. You are bound to get bombarded with questions about all your favorites and when Austin was under the same situation, he always had some easy answers about his music.

Austin is a fan of Slayer, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest, all of which are metal bands showing the Texas Rattle Snake’s taste in metal music.

He also had an eye for Scorpions and AC/DC back when he was young but as he grew older the favorites kept changing. He even made a friend in Kerry King from the Slayer which further stamped his love for the band.

#8 Triple H and William Regal Motorhead

Regal is clearly one of the most underrated superstars in WWE history and though you might see him not complaining about it, he always goes vocal when his favorite band is denied a deserved induction.

The Brit is a huge fan of the British Band Motorhead that is known around the WWE Universe for performing Triple H’s entrance music in WrestleMania 17 and WrestleMania 21.

Hunter is an avid follower of the band and was seen sharing a photograph with them on various occasions. Motorhead have always been interested in appearing in Wrestling events when asked for and we might see them in the near future as well considering the great friendship that Hunter has.

#7 Undertaker Guns N Roses and Nick Cave

Undertaker is one of those old school guys who likes to keep the kayfabe intact even in real life. We do know about his obsession with motorcycles but that’s pretty much it since Taker loves to keep his real life private whenever possible.

When it comes to music, Taker is a massive fan of the Australian Musician Nick Cave. Also, Taker enjoys songs of Black Sabbath, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Label society and of course Guns N Roses.

Johnny Cash is another musician who tops Taker’s list of favorites and the Phenom even used Cash’s ‘Ain’t No grave’ song as his theme a few years back. He might be intimidating after what he did through the years but knowing what he loves to listen clearly lightens Taker a bit up in front of the fans.

#6 Christian Celine Dion

Christian is among those rare breed of WWE superstars who like some music that soothes the ear rather than the high intensity heavy metal. He often likes those slow songs and has an eye for Judy Garland and Barbara Streisand.

However, the favorite for Christian is Celine Dion. Christian being a Canadian might’ve found it easier to connect with the Canadian singer who made waves in the industry with her Titanic Theme Song.

Also, one another singer that Christian follows is Justin Bieber (yes, Justin Bieber). Beiber’s song is often found in the veteran’s play list whenever he lets his locker room buddies get a peep into them.

#5 Kane Pink Floyd

You might think that Kane has a demonic favorite when it comes to music but in reality, he is a big fan of Pink Floyd. Former WWE superstars Matt Striker revealed in an Interview that a lot of Pink Floyd music used to come out of Kane’s locker room on a regular basis.

He was so into the English rock band that he asked for a theme song that was influenced by the Pink Floyd. And he did get the same when another band Type O Negative made him the Life is Killing Me song.

The big red machine may not be having the best time when it comes to the way he is being booked, but after knowing this, his fellow Pink Floyd fans will find it easier to connect with him.

#4 Vince McMahon AC/DC

You know that it’s good when the boss loves it (maybe not but still). Various Superstars have revealed about this love of Vince and he was even spotted numerous times in AC/DC concerts alongside his date John Cena.

And if that wasn’t enough, the legendary rock band also made some music for WWE pay-per-views on Vince’s request with the most notable one being the 2008 Survivor Series.

Along with Mr. McMahon, Chris Jericho is also a great follower of AC/DC and that is one of the reasons why Jericho doesn’t have a dedicated mentioning since he loves all the good music out there with some special love towards Heavy metal bands which are similar to his Fozzy.

#3 Dolph Ziggler Britney Spears

You read that right; Dolph Ziggler is a Britney Spears fan. I repeat, Dolph Ziggler is a Britney Spears fan. As a matter of fact, you might not find a bigger fan of the American Singer than Ziggler out there in the Internet.

Ziggler often chooses Twitter as the medium to express his love towards Britney and the Show off even got extra cozy with his tweets when he came to know that Britney went single back in September, 2014.

Along with all these, the former World Heavyweight Champion also has an impressive array of Britney Spears T-Shirts to his name which he takes out to woo the singer through Twitter.

#2 Seth Rollins Beatles

While Rollins has been curb stomping his way into the WWE main event scene, he always managed to keep his love for Beatles intact. The Architect revealed in an interview that he loved the Beatles right from his teenage days itself.

He also boasted about having some Beatles vinyl and original records to his collections. Before turning into Beatles, Rollins had a taste for bands like Korn and Metallica which stamped his taste in heavy metal music.

Chris Jericho is also a big Beatles fan in the Wrestling business from what we learned from his Autobiographies where he mentioned how he stayed in Hamburg just because of it being a place where the Beatles got their break.

#1 The Rock Elvis Presley

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has a classic favorite when it comes to Music. He is a fan of the legendary Elvis Presley and decided to take this obsession into the Hollywood screen as well when he played a big Elvis fan on the film Game Plan.

Rock was seen singing Burning Love in the film and the memorabilia that is shown actually belongs to him in real life. His character being an Elvis fan was not in the books initially but Rock suggested the change and it turned out to look good.

There are even instances of Rock impersonating Elvis at various stages, so next time if you want to spark a conversation with the Brahma Bull, throw in some Elvis song into the mix.
