Drew McIntyre recently defeated the Olympic Gold medalist and WWE Hall Of Famer, Kurt Angle on an episode of Monday Night Raw cementing his status as the top heel on Monday Night RAW.

McIntyre is currently scheduled to be a part of RAW's Men's team along with his partner Dolph Ziggler.

Historically the traditional tag team elimination match has been used for establishing new stars on the main roster.

Stars like Randy Orton and Roman Reigns have produced dominating performances at the event in the past and then went onto becoming world champions in the preceding years.

Last year Braun Strowman dominated the traditional match-up and was the standout performer.

McIntyre may be the one to get the rub this year as he has been booked strongly ever since his return this year and also to fill the void left behind by the departure of the Big Dog.
