WWE Survivor Series 2018: 5 things we want to happen that probably won't

Survivor Series is the one night of the year where Raw and SmackDown go head to head and it's shaping up to be quite the night already with many of the matches being seen as fantasy level bouts.

This year's Survivor Series is being forced to follow the second annual Takeover: War Games which means that the main roster really needs to step up their game. Interestingly, there are many things that WWE could do to ensure that their fanbase goes home happy, but they are very unlikely.

As with many events over the past few years, WWE has to ensure that the WWE Universe will want to turn into Monday Night Raw the following night, so there needs to be a hook at the end of the show and there has to be some impressive swerves throughout the show. Here are some that probably won't happen.

#5 Nia Jax and Tamina are replaced on Team Raw

The WWE Universe wasn't impressed when the two women were announced as part of the team Monday Night Raw ahead of many much more deserving women and their addition to the team means that Natalya is the only face. Jax has been in the headlines all week for the wrong reasons, whilst Tamina only recently returned from surgery and picked up exactly where she left off as one of Raw's blandest stars.

There are many more deserving women on the Raw roster and it's hoped that Sasha Banks and Bayley attack Jax and Snuka before the show can get underway and they are then given their spots on team Raw since they are the two women that deserve those places.

#4 Daniel Bryan defeats Brock Lesnar

The WWE Universe was definitely swerved on Tuesday night when Daniel Bryan became WWE Champion and then turned heel on AJ Styles. The former General Manager of SmackDown Live has always been one of the most popular stars in the company so this was a huge shock, but he is still seen as the lesser of two evils heading into his match with Brock Lesnar this weekend.

AJ Styles was unable to overcome the threat of Lesnar in this match last year, but Daniel Bryan has broken down barriers much bigger than The Beast Incarnate in the past and if the WWE Universe had their way, it would be Bryan coming out on top on Sunday night. Of course, this is WWE and it's Brock Lesnar, which means that Bryan knew he was losing the minute the match was announced.

#3 Seth Rollins turns the tables on Dean Ambrose

Seth Rollins has been on the back foot for almost a month now because Dean Ambrose chose the worst possible night to turn on his teammate and then refuse to help him defend his Championships. Rollins has since lost the Tag Team Championships to AOP and has been on the end of a Dirty Deeds a number of times, which means that he should have become wise to Ambrose by now.

Rollins knows that The Lunatic Fringe will be looking to make some kind of appearance at Survivor Series, which means that he should be prepared and instead of receiving another Dirty Deeds, he should step up to Ambrose and deliver a Stomp, Ambrose may blame Rollins for all of his issues, but that doesn't mean that Rollins should continue to be his personal punchbag, it's time for The Architect to turn the tables.

#2 Becky Lynch attacks Ronda Rousey

Becky Lynch was originally supposed to be facing Ronda Rousey at tomorrow night's show, but a concussion has forced her to step out of the match and she is currently banned from anything physical until she is cleared by the WWE doctors.

Her best friend Charlotte or former best friend at this point, will take her place instead and hope to overcome Rousey for the first time, but the WWE Universe will already be looking forward to the future meeting between Lynch and Rousey. Tomorrow would have been the perfect time for The Lasskicker to attack Rousey and send a message about a future meeting but the fact that she's banned from all things inside the squared circle right now means that The Irish star may not feature at all as part of tomorrow's show.

#1 CM Punk proves that he really is The Best in the World

CM Punk himself declared a few days ago that only a time machine would see him make a return to the wrestling business, which means that there isn't a huge storyline in motion following WWE's use of the "best in the world" term over the past few weeks.

There were rumors that WWE was setting up the return of Punk to take on Shane McMahon but this obviously isn't the case. It would have been perfect for Punk to have returned in a Sting manner and cost team SmackDown the win before going on to challenge the Commissioner to a match in the coming months, but sadly this won't be the case.

Survivor Series does usually end on a cliffhanger, so it will be interesting to see what this year's hook will be.
