WWE Survivor Series 2019: 4 NXT Superstars who have gained more fans due to their performance at the show

The WWE Survivor Series 2019 was perhaps the most-hyped version of the PPV in recent years. The reason was plain and simple: the inclusion of NXT. The addition of NXT meant that the fans would now get to see at least a preview of some potentially great matches in the future.

At one point during the men’s traditional elimination match, WALTER shared the ring with Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman.

There were also moments with Keith Lee lining up against Braun Strowman, making the fans dream about the potential matches that these two could have somewhere down the line.

Overall, it was a good PPV that delivered some incredible matches but also had some poor moments. In the end, NXT came out as the winners with four wins while SmackDown and RAW ended with two and one wins, respectively.

In short, it was a show that put NXT over massively with some of their Superstars getting major pushes during the course of the PPV. With that in mind, here are the 4 NXT Superstars who may see a stark rise to their fanbase after Survivor Series:

#4 Rhea Ripley

As I had predicted in this article, Rhea Ripley led the women’s NXT team to glory in their elimination match against RAW and SmackDown. Ripley’s week might just be the best among all the NXT Superstars as she not only stood tall at Survivor Series, but also beat Team Baszler at NXT WarGames on Saturday.

As she pinned Sasha Banks at Survivor Series, it became clear that she is going to one of the biggest Superstars of the company in the near future.

Her mannerisms, her ability to tell a story inside the squared circle and her move-set - everything about her screams "main event", and after Survivor Series, she will have more voices backing her in the crowd.

#3 and #2: Pete Dunne and Adam Cole

Along with Rhea Ripley, Adam Cole has also enjoyed an incredible last few weeks in the company. He stood tall against the RAW and SmackDown Superstars and even though he took the pin to lose against Team Ciampa at WarGames, he and Pete Dunne stole the show at Survivor Series.

The NXT Championship match between the two was the best match of the night as the pair brought the house down with their insane technical ability. The crowed were seemingly quiet before this encounter but they managed to bring them back to their feet.

There was everything in this match - from high-flying maneuvers to old-school physicality and in the end, Cole was able to defend his title against Dunne.

Cole was already someone with a great fan following, but after this match, even the casual fans will take note of the NXT Champion, who has an in-ring charisma rivaled by only a few in the company.

Dunne, meanwhile, will have no doubt gained the respect of the fans as his fluency inside the ring was a sight to behold.

#1 Keith Lee

Who else but Keith Lee? From almost quitting wrestling to pinning Seth Rollins in the men’s elimination match, Keith Lee has come a long way. At Survivor Series, he showed a glimpse of what he is capable of as his move-set in the ring is unique for someone as big as him.

There have been reports of Vince McMahon being a fan of Lee, who is not only a Superstar with a huge stature but is super-athletic inside the ring and also knows how to work with his opponent.

At the elimination match, Lee was the last survivor for NXT. He outlasted the captain of team, Tommaso Ciampa, and eliminated Seth Rollins to have a final battle against Roman Reigns.

He took two Superman Punches from the Big Dog and still kicked out, making the crowd go wild. It was apparent that they wanted Lee to go over and made it clear with their cheers for the big man.

In the end, Lee ate the pin after being hit by a Spear, but by then, he had already earned the respect of Roman Reigns and also the crowd. The way he was portrayed at the PPV, it would be safe to assume that he is going to have a lot more fans backing him in the future.
