For the first time, NXT will be participating in Survivor Series this Sunday on November 24, 2019. Several matches have been announced including Adam Cole vs. Pete Dunne, Damian Priest, or Killian Dain for the NXT Championship, United States Champion AJ Styles vs. Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. North American Champion Roderick Strong, Bray Wyatt vs. Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship, Brock Lesnar vs. Rey Mysterio for the WWE Championship in a No Holds Barred match, RAW Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day vs. NXT Tag Team Champions Undisputed Era, RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch vs. SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley vs. NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler, a five-on-five-on-five traditional Survival Series elimination match featuring top male Superstars from RAW, SmackDown, and some unknown Superstars from NXT, and a five-on-five-on-five traditional Survivor Series elimination match featuring the top female Superstars from Raw, SmackDown Live, and NXT.
It is currently unknown who will be representing NXT's Women's Division at Survivor Series. Unfortunately, some women such as NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray, Mia Yim, Toni Storm, and Candice LeRae will be unable to compete in this match.
#5 Bianca Belair
Bianca Belair was one of the first women to be involved in NXT's invasion of SmackDown. While Shayna Baszler attacked SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley and Nikki Cross to be the first invader, Bianca Belair laid out both Carmella and Dana Brooke backstage. The EST of NXT has become a breakout Superstar over the past few years with impressive performances against Nikki Cross, Kairi Sane, Io Shirai, Mia Yim, Shayna Baszler and Dakota Kai on her resume. She is set to be one of the Superstars on Team Baszler at NXT TakeOver: War Games III.
Given the fact that both Carmella and Dana Brooke are confirmed to be in this match, it makes sense for Bianca Belair to be in this match as both SmackDown Superstars will be looking to get some revenge on the woman who laid them out a few weeks ago. There is also interest in a showdown between Bianca Belair and SmackDown team captain, Sasha Banks.
#4 Io Shirai
Ever since Io Shirai turned heel, she has undergone a complete transformation. Before turning heel, she gained victories over Superstars like Rhea Ripley, Deonna Purrazzo, and Xia Brookside. After she turned heel, she entered into a rivalry with Candice LeRae and scored two victories over her. She has also defeated Superstars like Kayden Carter and Mia Yim. The last victory that Io Shirai scored was over Mia Yim in a ladder match (with help from NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray) and gave her team (Team Shayna Baszler) the advantage for the upcoming Women's WarGames match.
Io Shirai is currently one of the faces of NXT's Women's Division and should definitely represent the brand at Survivor Series. There will be interest in showdowns between Io Shirai and Asuka, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Nikki Cross and her former tag team partner, Kairi Sane.
#3 & #2 Team Kick (Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox)
Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox both suffered devastating leg injuries and have only recently been cleared to return to action. Both women managed to defeat Taynara and they reunited Team Kick and scored a victory against Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke of the Horsewomen. They unsuccessfully challenged the Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships a few weeks ago. Dakota Kai has struggled in competition recently as she has lost matches to Bianca Belair, Shayna Baszler and Kay Lee Ray. Kai was also excluded from Team Rhea Ripley and she will not participate at WarGames.
Both Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox have been featured parts of the NXT invasion and work well together so it would make sense for them both to be on the team to combat the Kabuki Warriors.
#1 Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley has been a dominant force ever since she moved to NXT from NXT UK and has gone from a dominant heel to a defiant face. She has put Shayna Baszler on notice and is leading a resistance against her that also includes Dakota Kai, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, and Mia Yim. The Nightmare has defeated Superstars like Kayden Carter, Aliyah, and Bianca Belair. She is the captain of the team that will battle Team Baszler at WarGames this weekend.
She has been an essential part of the invasion as she teamed with Tegan Nox to take down Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. She also had an explosive encounter with Sasha Banks in a tag team match and put on a clinic with RAW Women's Champion, Becky Lynch, this week on NXT. She is presented as a leader of the NXT Women's Division and as a result of that, she should be the captain of the team. Dream interactions between Rhea Ripley and Nikki Cross, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Charlotte, and Sasha Banks will surely steal the show.
