The ongoing storyline between AJ Lee and Paige is leaning towards what the WWE intended to and that is teasing sexual tension between the two. PWInsider noted that WWE made a decision made last weekend to move forward with that angle but not try anything risky as this week’s RAW and Smackdown tapings showed.
The AJ vs. Paige storyline is not the only deviation from the product that the WWE is pushing. Incidents like more usage of non-PG language and Rosa Mendes’ wardrobe malfunction on Main Event are a conceited effort by the WWE to create more buzz.
WWE have promised sponsors they won't ever go back the randomness of the Attitude Era. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently speculated that there will be more slip-ups and slightly more usage of non-PG language on WWE TV, but not enough to create another controversy.
