WWE WrestleMania 33: 5 surprises that could occur during the Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton title match

From family to foes, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton collide for it all, the WWE Championship!

We are literally just days away from the grandaddy of them all, Wrestlemania 33! While some fans and sceptics alike have been pessimistically critical about the show and whether it will deliver on the grand scale that fans have grown to expect, I say to you, my fellow wrestling fanatics, fret not!

One way or another, Vince McMahon and his band of headphone-dawning minions will find a way to make sure Wrestlemania 33 is a success. I sincerely believe that. There will be millions of dollars in salary money, camped out in the gorilla position, critiquing each and every faint move, ensuring the year’s biggest event delivers on the scale we now demand.

With that said, the co-main event matches have been set. Actually, it appears we will have a series of main-event caliber bouts when it’s all said and done. The Undertaker faces Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar challenges Goldberg for the Universal Championship and of course, Bray Wyatt defends his WWE Championship against The Viper, Randy Orton.

All of these mentioned matches are certainly main-event worthy contests. The bottom line- I am not the least bit worried about the overall quality of Wrestlemania 33. Besides, there is nothing at all we could do to changes things at this point. It’s ‘Mania season, folks, enjoy it!

Speaking of the WWE Championship match, that is the focus of this particular column. The saga between Wyatt and Orton has been a fascinating one. It’s been a tale of two WWE Superstars who come from elite wrestling family backgrounds.

The two stars have taken fans on a roller-coaster ride of ups-and-downs, twists-and-turns, along with several unexpected bumps throughout the ride. In the end, we are left with one massive payoff, on the grandest stage of all...Wrestlemania.

As of this writing, fans are pretty much split down the middle, regarding who they believe will come out on top and leave Orlando with the title. However, when it comes to these two dangerously deceptive Superstars, we can always expect the unexpected. So, with that said, what sort of surprises should we brace ourselves for?

Here’s a look at five potentially shocking variables that could be tossed into the match, making things all the more insane!

#5 Erick Rowan saves Bray!

Rowan could make his return felt by all at Wrestlemania!

Erick Rowan has been plagued with terrible luck ever since he arrived on the main roster. He has been forced to ride in the shadow of not only Bray Wyatt, but also Luke Harper. Plus, this injury he sustained last October was one that nearly took him off the shelf for good. But, Rowan is a fighter who has fought back and now is expected to return at any time.

What role will Rowan play in The Wyatt Family? Or, will he even be associated with Bray at all?

This is an intriguing question that could potentially be answered at some point during the main event match at Wrestlemania. Wyatt could benefit greatly by having Rowan come back into the fold and help him retain his WWE Championship.

#4 Harper and Rowan distract Wyatt, cost Bray his title!

Harper and Rowan could reunite to make Bray pay for his sins!

For quite some time, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan would be seen on a weekly basis, creeping down the entrance ramp and surrounding the ring, lurking at each corner, waiting to pounce on their victim as if he were the meal for the evening.

Well, things have obviously changed and while we could see Harper and Rowan posting up around the ring in an intimidating fashion, this time it could be Bray Wyatt who is the prey they are stalking. There has been no mention of a Harper and Rowan reunion, but then again, it's not like these guys ever did anything by the book anyhow.

#3 Strowman emerges, takes out Orton!

Could the monster Braun Strowman destroy Orton’s hopes of becoming the new WWE Champion?

Until his loss to Roman Reigns at Fastlane, Braun Strowman appeared to be nearly immortal. However, Strowman is still one of the most dominant Superstars on any roster today and he still has a lot of destruction to deliver. That path of destruction could lead him back to helping his former leader, Bray Wyatt, retain his WWE Championship at Wrestlemania.

While things between Strowman and Wyatt were somewhat tense recently, Braun still holds a degree of loyalty to Bray for helping him make a name for himself and ultimately, becoming the resident monster of RAW. Considering that both main rosters will unite inside Camping World Stadium, this scenario is not too far-fetched of an idea.

Don’t be surprised if Braun comes to the rescue of The Eater of Worlds.

#2 Sister Abigail rises from the ashes!

Is Nikki Cross actually Sister Abigail in the flesh?

Nikki Cross is turning heads in NXT, with her work as the female warrior in the faction known as SAnitY. Her style is exactly what a Wyatt fan would think of when Sister Abigail is mentioned.

Cross has been getting a tonne of singles wins lately, but it's the way she goes about these victories is what gets the attention of everyone. Her relentless, monstrous presence is exactly what the company needs IF there is, in fact, a plan to one day debut a physical form of Sister Abigail.

#1 Blood is thicker than water...Bo Dallas rescues Bray!

Fans have suggested this for the longest!

Bo Dallas is and has been in a creative quandary for quite some time now. It’s hard to believe this guy was one of the best champions to ever come out of NXT, but that was certainly the case during his near 300 days as NXT Champion, prior to being elevated to the main roster.

However, since arriving on the main roster, Dallas has been doing a whole lot of nothing, which really isn't his fault, the guy is just suffering from poor creative and booking choices.

This is also a situation that is highly unlikely to take place. But, this is a fix for the creative crisis being experienced by Dallas. A quick run-in to assist his real-life brother would not only set up Bray to retain his strap but place Bo Dallas on a platform that he has never been able to experience.
