There was a lot of speculation about Roman Reigns being Baron Corbin's WrestleMania 35 opponent. But it is pretty clear that this will no longer be the case with Drew McIntyre stepping up to the plate in recent weeks.
The stage was set for Reigns and Corbin to take each other on, considering Corbin made some unflattering comments about the former man back when he diagnosed with leukaemia in October. But then again, plans changed and it turned out that Corbin did not have a WrestleMania 35 opponent.
And this is why the match with Kurt Angle was made official for WrestleMania. And let's face it, there's a readymade storyline in place between Baron Corbin and Kurt Angle for the grandest stage of them all.
And to be fair, this is a far more organic storyline than Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin.
