10 superstars who could be in the Survivor Series team of The Undertaker

Finn Balor fits the bill

Brock in Taker’s team would be a dream scenarioThe course of professional wrestling saw a big turning point at the 1990 edition of Survivor Series. The show played host to the WWE debut of Undertaker and 25 years later, WWE and Survivor Series look all set to stage another legendary performance from the Phenom. He wrapped up his storyline with Brock Lesnar at Hell in a Cell and immediately sparked off a new feud with the Wyatt family. Bray Wyatt and his followers literally destroyed Taker at Hell in a Cell and we are probably on our way to see a traditional Survivor Series match involving Team Undertaker and Wyatt family. It would be a great way to celebrate the occasion and we are going to take a look at the potential team mates of the ‘Deadman’

#10 Finn Balor

Finn Balor fits the bill

It will be about fitting in with the theme. Undertaker’s gimmick is a standout one and there is an aura about the whole thing and Finn Balor’s demonic gimmick fits right into the mould.

Letting Finn team up with Undertaker will turn out to be a very popular decision. He is having a great time down in NXT and making his debut alongside Undertaker is a boost that he deserves.

Finn is in his mid-30s and has seen a lot of wrestling throughout his career. The main roster is where he belongs and just like names of Rock, Undertaker and a string of other major names, Finn could make his debut at Survivor Series.

#9 Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho is the least likely option on the list; but you never know.

Jericho is one of WWE’s biggest weapons right now. Whenever the company needs someone to fill in a spot, Jericho is the usual choice.

He is a legend in his own right and Jericho deserves to team up with Undertaker for the pay-per-view. The chances of fans digesting the decision are low. Although Jericho is a seasoned veteran and a solid wrestler, he has no momentum whatsoever.

The last time we saw him; he teamed up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose against the Wyatt Family and teased a heel turn.

Jericho returning to face the Wyatts again would be a good decision from a storyline perspective, but it will not evoke many reactions from the crowd like most of the other superstars in the list would.

#8 The Usos

The Usos – An impactful return?

The Usos have been out of television for quite some time now. The injury of Jey Uso has apparently healed and the twin brothers could add ammunition to the team of Undertaker.

Usos have a long history with Wyatt Family and they need no more reasons to accompany the Dead Man. The former Tag team champions are in need of a big comeback and there wouldn’t be any better opportunities than this for the same.

Just like Jericho, Usos might be met with a cold response, but they will add some excitement and energy to the whole match and could play the victims in the storyline.

#7 Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan – Will the WWE let him wrestle again?

Just like the Usos, Daniel Bryan has been off television for a long time.

We are yet to receive an update on his status with the company as some suggest that he is done wrestling while others say the exact opposite. If Bryan is indeed fit to wrestle, then WWE should not hesitate to book Bryan as Undertaker’s partner. Bryan also has some history with the Wyatt Family and the fans would love to see him be part of the crew.

Bryan’s health is the only hurdle standing between him and this opportunity. Even if Bryan is half fit, WWE could protect him in a match like this and give the fans a good stroll down memory lane.

#6 Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose – A sureshot possibility

Dean Ambrose is stuck in the middle of nowhere. He was supposed to face the Wyatt Family alongside Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell, but an injury to the Viper ruled Ambrose out of the pay-per-view.

With Roman Reigns now set to face Seth Rollins for the WWE World heavyweight Championship, Ambrose has nothing much to chase. This is the ideal opportunity to invest him in the traditional Survivor Series match.

Ambrose is a fan favorite and has some great in-ring psychology to go with it. His most recent feud was with the Wyatt Family as well and all these add up well for the Lunatic Fringe.

#5 Kane

Kane was also ‘abducted’ by the Wyatts on RAW

This is a no brainer. If Undertaker is going to come up with a team for Survivor Series, then Kane is surely going to be on it.

Kane is the kayfabe brother of Undertaker and Wyatts took out Kane on Monday Night Raw. Does he need any more reasons to align with Undertaker? Taker and Kane recently tagged against Luke Harper and Brawn Strowman for a WWE Live Show and it was apparently WWE’s way of testing the waters.

Kane could fit in well with most superstars who are in the list. He has a history of teaming with Daniel Bryan and also, Kane has a similar gimmick to that of Finn Balor. So in short, he is an easy choice to be in Taker’s team for Survivor Series.

#4 Dudley Boyz

Dudley Boyz – Attitue Era throwback

The Dudley Boyz were unsuccessful in their attempts to win the Tag Team championship at Hell in a Cell.

It was not a disappointing loss to them as they do not need the gold around their waist to stay relevant. There are only a few remaining names from the Attitude Era left in the WWE rosters and Dudleys belong to that list.

They have the talent, fan following and legacy to be partnering the Undertaker and it would be a dream scenario for some fans. Dudleys can have a spin-off feud with the Wyatt Family after Survivor Series making it a win-win situation for everyone.

#3 Cesaro

Cesaro deserves the rub

This doesn’t need many explanations. Although Vince McMahon claims that Cesaro doesn’t connect with the fans, he is a top notch talent that deserves to be in the main event.

It would be almost impossible to find a bad Cesaro match from the past few months and he has done his bit to be a star in the company. What he needs now are the opportunities to shine and being in the team of Undertaker will be a big step.

Cesaro need not be the last survivor or something; he just should be there in the match sharing the limelight with a legend like Undertaker. If he ends up earning the respect of the Deadman, then his career will be a lot better going forward.

#2 Sting

Sting and Undertaker side by side would be best for business

Sting has been a long term dream opponent of Undertaker. Everyone expects the Icon to be the arch nemesis of the Deadman so what if WWE pulls off a swerve and aligns these two?

Sting and Undertaker in the same team will be enough to sell out the venue and apart from this, it opens up the opportunity for WWE to build up the dream match that we have been waiting for.

Sting could turn on Undertaker at Survivor Series and this could start off their feud which could then conclude at WrestleMania. Both Sting and Undertaker are almost at the end of their legendary careers and WWE should not waste more time in making this match happen.

#1 Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar – The dream partner

Brock Lesnar and Undertaker settled their scores at Hell in a Cell.

Lesnar walked out as the better man and considering that these two are seasoned professionals, it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see Lesnar helping out Undertaker. There was clearly a lot of hate between Taker and Lesnar ahead of their Hell in a Cell match, but they apparently settled it like men inside the cell.

Adding Lesnar and Paul Heyman into the match will skyrocket the star power and it would be interesting to see Lesnar grappling with the likes of Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Brawn Strowman and Erick Rowan. It is a long shot, but it is indeed a dream scenario for the fans to see Undertaker and Lesnar in the same team.
