And the best part was that almost all the major rumors from last week looked into the time frame after SummerSlam.Samoa Joes future in WWE was a big talking point from the lot while WWEs desperation to book a big match at WrestleMania proved to be another. A working relationship between WWE and sports industry giants might be up in place as well, these and more on this weeks top rumors of the week and their analysis.

#5 Roman Reigns to get big push towards the end of 2015

Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns was touted to be the next John Cena at one point, but all of that came crashing down thanks to the WWE Universe. All the big plans that WWE had for Reigns were dropped and they concentrated elsewhere to make up main event storylines. Despite the delay, Reigns might be getting his main event push after all.

It is expected to come towards the end of this year. The fall out of SummerSlam is rumored to have a big impact on the same and we might see a heel turn from either Ambrose or Reigns from the looks of it. Both ways, Reigns is going to be backed heavily and we could see him in the title picture very soon.

#4 Mixed Tag Team Match at Night of Champions

Lana

Rusev and Dolph Ziggler will be involved in a one on one match at SummerSlam. WWE has no plans of ending the feud at SummerSlam and we are expected to see it extend all the way to Night of Champions or beyond. The Night of Champions pay-per-view might get to see a mixed tag team match with Ziggler and Lana on one side while Rusev and Summer Rae will be on the other.

The fight between the girls will be a full blown cat fight at the best and it would be WWE’s first step towards pushing Lana as a big deal. The future plans are still unclear and we will have to wait to know the same.

#3 WWE and ESPN to have a working relationship

Vince McMahon

ESPN is all set to cover SummerSlam extensively. First, it was supposed to be an ordinary situation where ESPN covers a major sporting event. However, according to the rumors, the relationship between ESPN and WWE could be more than what meets the eye. The SummerSlam coverage could end up being the start of a solid relationship between the two parties and former WWE superstar Jonathan Coachman played a big role in coming up with the same.

It is a going to be a great thing for WWE if the deal actually materializes as they will be exposed to some excellent mainstream attention through ESPN.

#2 Triple H vs. Rock still in plans for WrestleMania

The Rock

There were rumors of a showdown between Rock and Triple H ever since these two had a confrontation at WrestleMania 31. WWE were planning to have a mixed tag team match or a singles match involving these two and apparently, they have dropped the former plan and is looking all set to push a singles encounter.

Rock’s limited appearances are something that is causing WWE problems, but we could expect the match to be made at the earliest. There are some talks going around about SummerSlam playing host to the honor but it could change. The situation regarding Ronda Rousey is still unclear and WWE is going ahead with Triple vs. Rock instead of waiting around for Ronda.

#1 Samoa Joe Might end his career at NXT

Samoa Joe

The fans who are expecting to see Samoa Joe in the main roster might be in for a big disappointment. There are talks going around in WWE about Joe spending the rest of his WWE spell in NXT rather than getting called up to the main roster. The reasons for the same are not clear, but it could well be due to the lengthy spell that Joe had in TNA.

On the other side of the story, it is great news for the NXT fans that could see Joe on a regular basis. Triple H will be pulling all the strings to push Joe to the Main roster and if he succeeds, then we will be in for some exciting matches involving the Samoan Submission Machine.
