5 Reasons why the Authority's return was Bad for Business

Just when we thought that the company was finally giving a good show last Monday Night, the writers blew it off big time. They ended the episode of Monday Night Raw with a B Grade Hollywood type segment where the Authority was brought back into power just a month after their temporary death. Now, having the lights of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on the road to WrestleMania is never a bad thing due to the star power that these two bring in but bringing back the Authority was never the right decision. At the end of the day, the last big segment of the year might go down as the worst one of the year and here is a look at the reasons why bringing back the Authority will be a ‘bad for business’ move.

#6 Honorable Mention: Seth Rollins was Satan

No, this is not a reason against the Authority and nor is it in favor of the Authority, but since it was Rollins who bought them back into power, it has to be mentioned.

The guys raised the standard for all the heels out there with that one promo and proved once again why he is regarded highly by everyone backstage. Even though bringing back the Authority was a bad thing, choosing Rollins to do the deed certainly made matters less painful.

#5 Same old 30 minute opening promos

We all have reasons to hate the Authority but the most popular one would be their 30 minute opening promos of Monday Night Raw. The WWE made it a habit of opening the shows with Authority throughout 2014 and if we were lucky, the segments turned out to be something more than utterly boring.

With the Authority reinstated to power we are bound to see a plethora of such promos in the near future which is further going to lower down the bar of standard of the weekly shows.

And also, one another thing that will come along with the Authority’s return is the interference endings. So prepare yourselves to see some solid matches getting botched by unwanted climaxes.

#4 No more legendary guests or fresh Authority figure

The best part about the Authority’s lose at Survivor Series was the prospect of seeing a new Authority figure in the company. There were names like Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Sting and even Vince McMahon in the mix to replace Hunter’s pack.

And what happens to all those choices now? They get flushed down the toilet just like that. One another thing that will be getting flushed after Authority’s return are the guest Managers.

We might not love them much but seeing legendary names making appearance every now and then always gave a nostalgic peace to our mind that was filled with PG nonsense.

#3 Always give up to Bullies

Cena is the poster boy of WWE no matter how much we hate him. He’s been there and done it all in his career and has managed to build himself up as a role model for all the children out there.

The main messages that Cena gives out to this children include never give up, loyalty, respect and a lot of things that makes parents happy.

But what message did Cena give out on Raw? No points for guessing because he taught the children that bowing down to Bullies are the right thing to do.

Now, we all hate PG but if the company is going to continue with PG, why can’t they at least pull it off properly? Let Cena stick to his character and be the role model rather than being projected like a coward.

#2 It makes Survivor Series worthless

The battle between Team Cena and Team Authority was the biggest draw of Survivor Series since it had a lot on the line. If Cena’s team was to lose, four baby faces would’ve been fired while Authority losing would’ve thrown them out of power.

The latter happened and instead of being a long term angle, that throwing out of power lasted no more than one month. All the hype and buildup to Survivor Series was just for his one whole month?

I mean, it’s like the Authority went for a month’s vacation and came back while we were made fools. The whole point of Survivor Series 2014 has gone missing after the return of Authority and it was better if the pay-per-view didn’t happen in the first place.

#1 They buried Ziggler, again

Ziggler shined the brightest at Survivor Series after he came out winning against all odds that were stacked big time against him. The fans were actually glad to see Ziggler getting a push like that at the pay-per-view as he deserved it.

Also, when the show off put an end to the Authority’s reign it was a sweet moment for the fans since Ziggler was one of the victims of Hunter’s power trip.

But all those now goes in vain and Ziggler’s effort is cancelled out with the Authority’s return. He looks like someone who fought for no cause or someone who once again got screwed up by the company in favor of someone else.
