Repetition has long been WWE's Achilles' Heel. At a time when the product is ever present on Social media and dirt sheets are spreading like wildfire, it is difficult to come up with what is said to be the unpredictable quotient.Yet, there were many things that WWE did differently in a sea of monotonous content. And successfully went through with it. However, there’s one silver lining about repetitive content. It makes the different things worth so much more and celebrated more. Here are the five things that WWE did differently the last year.

#5 Have new faces in the main event

The WWE PPV main events are cardinal. They are so important that CM Punk, a very popular former face of the company rarely ever got to main event while he was the WWE Champion.

2012 and 2013 made it clear that the main event scene belonged to John Cena and part time performers. But it has shown some change in 2014. Daniel Bryan main evented Wrestlemania and Won. What a moment that was despite the unbelievable, gut-wrenching end of The Streak.

And then Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins stole the show every single time they faced each other. They main evented Hell In A Cell and then Dean Ambrose again squared off in the TLC main event with Bray Wyatt.

This has arguably put more spotlight on these young talents who are the future and the present of the company.

#4 Give NXT a bigger platform

There will come a day, hopefully, when NXT becomes to the main roster what WCW was to the World Wrestling Federation.

The show with the shortest format has been consistently better than the main roster extravaganza. NXT Takeover: R Evolution will be talked about for a long time to come. It has become legendary.

The superstars and divas are somebody at NXT, that may not be guaranteed on the main roster. It is a show that has had better and great matches and feuds and promos than what the main roster shows us.

And it’ll be great if more focus shifts towards the developmental arena from the audience’s side.

#3 Listen to the fans on the internet

It’s not like they never heard the fans on the web, but the participation of these fans has increased and given WWE’s prominent social media presence and some of these fans do actually come up with great storyline ideas. WWE on the Road to Wrestlemania used many terms that originated online like ‘The Reality Era’ or ‘Occupy Raw’ or Triple H playing out his reputation.

The biggest success WWE had was when the fans decided to ‘Hijack Raw’ because of CM Punk’s absence and Daniel Bryan not getting his shot at the Wrestlemania main event. WWE made it into a storyline and played it out quite well.

All of this led to a spectacular Wrestlemania.

#2 Ziggler\'s moment

It has been happening for so long that it could be taken as a norm. Ziggler’s selling the moves of his opponents like death and him losing and putting his opponents over.

Yet, the chants for Ziggler never died. The audience kept supporting him and kept their support alive throughout the past two years. he never won and yet he was never lost in thesea of many superstars WWE wants and wanted to push,

Ultimately the unbelievable yet very much deserved moment of reckoning came in the shape of the Intercontinental Title and since then the championship has gained so much relevance precisely because Ziggler has been booked like a fighting Champion. he became the Sole Survivor and has won the title 3 times this year already in spectacular matches and re-matches.

And now, for the first time ever in his career he has a good chance of winning the Rumble.

#1 Have the face of the company get decimated

John Cena lost to Brock Lesnar. Here are the things that are very unlike Cena. He lost clean. He was thrown around the ring and was never able to be consistent with his offence. He never really had an upper hand in the match. He was toyed around and tossed around all around the ring with respect to the 16 German Suplexes.

Brock Lesnar kicked and threw the Super Cena folklore out of the arena at Summerslam. It was met with awestruck eyes, some disappointed and some delighted at the unexpected total domination of the perennial face of the company.

Lesnar 's performance was pitch perfect, so much so it was unbelievable. He mocked Undertaker by getting up Deadman Style after being hit by an AA.

It was so different that it got everybody talking about it, new and old fans alike.
